I’m familiar with this shopping center, so finding Starbread Bakery was pretty simple. Finding a bakery that makes Señorita bread and realizing it was in this center was a bonus. Señorita bread is beyond addicting, since you really can’t eat just one. The bread is so soft and combine that with the sugary/buttery topping, it’s amazing. These little breads are enjoyed best when they are warm/hot. If you don’t eat right away and they get cold, just nuke them in the microwave for a few seconds. They offer an assortment of box sizes from 5 — 60 Starbreads. Service was friendly and I got my order of 50 Starbreads really fast. I ate one as I got into my car and had to resist eating anymore till I got home. Just be careful, since you don’t want to eat them if they’re too hot, since you might burn your mouth. But the aroma and flavor is really hard to resist. Enjoy!

If you haven’t about this bread, then you’ve been living under a rock for a very long time. Lots of places make señorita bread but none like this. It’s a little hole in the wall bakery that doesn’t show for much, but it’s worth the trip out for its yummy goodness. Had to dock 2 stars because Their service sucks but their seniorita bread is amazing.

Found this place by mistake. A mistake well made, I’m a carb lover like everyone in the world. These hot little gooey bread is so delish! I try to contain myself and buy only 10(yes 10!)and share with my husband. Never even made it back on the freeway and the little suckers are all gone. Eat’em while there hot!

I’m really glad I found out about the Newark location as the DC location is a bit far for me. I was a little sad when I heard that they only accepted cash. However, thanks to Unilocal and a quick phone call(which they picked up immediately), I learned that they do accept card! Everything but amex. The location is clean and spacious. It’s not huge but it’s good. They have extra room for you to wait too. I haven’t quite decided how I feel about them not having other businesses in the same suite as it can feel so convenient yet cramped. I think I like it. They’re located in a plaza with multiple other resources, ie Baby Lobster is next door! To my surprise, Starbread doesn’t just make plain ‘ol Señorita Bread anymore. They make CINNAMON Señorita Bread, as well! It’s like the delicious lovechild of cinnamon churro and señorita bread. I bought 120 pc for my boyfriend and his friends, some coworkers at work and for myself to bring home. It went out so fast I was glad I had it separated into different boxes to save for the later shift. Y You might pass by them if you don’t know exactly where they’re located as they’re somewhat hidden. Unilocal/Waze/Map out your way just in case so you don’t get lost !! You won’t want to miss out on this!

There sat a white box on the kitchen counter when I arrived from work yesterday. I thought to myself, oh geez mom got another fruit tart from Safeway, but nooooo… To my surprise, inside were these little finger-like pieces of sweet goodness. Inside the box sat 2 different flavors, the original and cinnamon flavor. Personally the original is where it’s at, because it has the perfect amount of sweetness, where the cinnamon is too sweet and you can’t really enjoy the texture and consistency of the bread. If you have never tried a Spanish Roll, you are truly missing out. Go get you some! Book-Mark-now! ;)

The Señorita bread is outstanding, at first I was not expecting much. But after ordering 10 prices of the bread I ate the whole bag. So darn good. It’s like a mix between a pretzel and a churro combined into one. Very cheap prices if you want to order for a group of people. It’s a very small place so it’s easy to find, that’s if you drive slow. I will be back for more and will try their other treats as well.

Nothing ruins a good product than a rude attendant that does not know how to deal with people. I’m not even looking for great service as I am just happy to pick up my usual order of the 25-piece señorita bread –even willing to ignore the inconsistencies in the filling as there are days where you don’t get much in it at all. Guy in the ponytail has to go. Such an ass can drive away your most loyal customers.

Holy geez. Seniorita bread is all they really sell and that is all you really need to know. The bread is a roll out of heaven. The staff are the nicest and friendliest people. The prices are cheap. Any trip down to the Bay Area will now include a side trip here!

I love the Seńorita bread! & now i know where it gets its name from! Its so delicate, fluffy, sweet & hot! I was literally in & out in 5 mins! And already ate 5 of these as i write this review! I read reviews ppl complaining why they arent already baked & available to pick up etc but think about it? If it was already baked & sitting on the shelve it would become just another pastry that you buy at the grocery store! But this my friend is the best treat ever! Because not only does it satisfy your sweet tooth but it’s piping hot right out of the oven! Your playing hot potato with these Seńorita bread! Its amazing! If you haven’t tried it i would suggest you do! & you won’t regret it! Btw if your in a hurry & don’t have 5 mins to spare out of your day to try this then this is not the place for you. It’s meant for people like us who enjoy what life has to offer! Hot Seńorita bread! Enjoy!

Starbread is almost down the street from my house and I’ve passed it thousands of times and never managed to stop there until this morning. I have been hearing about this Señorita bread for quite some time and never really knew what the big fuss was about then I found out they have them right by my house and made it a point to come asap. The bakery is very small but as soon as you walk inside you can smell that delicious bread baking. They have some different varieties of Señorita bread already packaged, cupcakes and other goodies that you can choose from. Once I was looking at the menu and size options I initially was going to get 15 pieces but I had to stop myself and just go with 10 pieces for $ 4 since these were strictly for me. I ordered half cinnamon flavored and half regular, I waited about 5 – 10 minutes since they are made to order and they were so worth the wait. As soon as I got to the car I devoured these, they were so soft, chewy, sweet and gooey. The best bread I have ever tasted and I eat bread all the time. They are definitely better than I had anticipated and the hype is real. Now I wish I had gotten that 15 piece lol. My only strife is that in my honest opinion the cinnamon flavor wasn’t as good as the regular flavor so next time I will pass on the cinnamon. The cinnamon was a little too overpowering and they didn’t seem quite as buttery as the original. I’ve noticed numerous people calling this crack bread and I totally have to agree with that nickname because they are so addicting and you can’t just have one. So glad that I came here and tried this Señorita bread but it’s dangerous that they are so close to home because now I will want to go all the time!

So my 3 star rating is a bit misleading in that the quality of the señorita bread is actually a 4.5, but my current gripe is the current size of each piece. I’ve been coming here for a few years now, a very satisfied customer. Today however, when I opened my 20 pc box, I was shocked at how small each bread was. I attached a pic; bear in mind I do not have big hands so I’ll let you guys judge. Still some damn good pastry, tho…

Back to the place I first enjoyed some señorita bread. I saw the sign on the door this morning and picked up some cinnamon flavored breads as well. I should have gotten more. They made them to order which was awesome. To show how healthy they are, look at the bottom of the bag or box when finished. Just remember how good they were.

This little shop is tucked at the right corner of the Greek restaurant. I really didn’t expect the señorita bread to taste like that. I thought it was a custard filling inside, but it’s simply butter, ooey gooey butter that drips when you bite into it. They give it to you piping hot so be careful when you take your first bite! These little babies are good but it’s something I won’t crave for a lot since I’m scared to gain weight, eating one made me feel like I’m gonna gain 5 lbs

Oops– I guess I didn’t order the correct Señorita Bread on my first trip to Starbread? My first visit here, I just ordered the items that were in the display cases. They weren’t labeled, so I am assuming they were different varieties of Señorita Bread. The bakery was empty around noon on a Saturday. This time around, when the baker came out from the kitchen area to take my order(they usually don’t have another worker in the front to greet you), I actually specified that I wanted Señorita Bread(40 pieces/$ 16, ). After I placed my order, the baker went back to the kitchen, and in about 2 minutes, handed me a box of still warm Señorita Bread! If possible, eat these while they are warm because they are freaking AMAZING. just don’t think too much about the butter oozing out from the bottom and savor the deliciousness instead. Although there is a lot of butter in this«bread», it still manages to have a lightness of fluffiness to it, which makes it really easy to eat one after the other. Although they are the most delicious when fresh and warm, they are still really good at room temperature. The bread has a light sweetness to it, but I wished they served the version that is covered in sugar warm, since that would be really delicious as well. We bought 40 pieces to a BBQ with 12 people, and we managed to demolish most of it. Starbread is a must visit if you haven’t had Señorita Bread before! Parking was more difficult this time around, since the rest of the plaza was super busy. However, there was plenty of parking on the side with the Panda Express.

Although they serve a few other desserts, the main reason for coming to Starbread Bakery is of course, for the Señorita bread. What is Señorita bread, you ask? Well, it’s also called Spanish bread in the Philippines. It’s basically a mini-sized breadstick, but instead of garlic butter, there is a sweet, buttery glaze on the bottom. The dough is soft, like a donut, and if ordered at that right time, the glaze on the bottom is lightly crunchy and sweet. You can order in advance if you want and depending on your order. However, what I do is usually get the box of 60 pcs for $ 24. I just go in there and order. I usually wait about 7 or 8 minutes. They bake it fresh. So fresh that when you grab the box, it’ll be almost too hot to carry. But even that won’t be your problem. Your problem will be how many you are going to eat, right then and there, instead of waiting to bring it all to work. The shop is small and the employees are nice. Be wary of the hours though. They say 7am that they open, but that’s not always the case. I’d call ahead before going there, if you can.

Delicious sugary little breads! It reminds me of the Cantonese gai-mei-bao but without the filling. On the menu, the smallest increment you can purchase is 5 for $ 2. When they’re fresh out of the oven, they’re so hot you literally cannot hold them. A part of them tastes slightly plasticky. I can’t really explain it but it’s not that bad. Great thing to bring to potlucks!
