Came here only because didn’t want to wait at Sala Thai. Regret it when I saw the dish they brought to my table. I ordered a curry chicken with rice, and it tastes … curry. Nothing else. And the owner sounds like she doesn’t want you here. Won’t come again.

I like the spicy thai curry chicken– Nice coconut base gravy– slightly spicy — good over plain rice Any of the dry dishes are good also– Thai spicy beef or chicken– eggplant tofu BUT one star because this not true authentic thai food. Its more like Chinese cuisine with a dash of thai flavor. Basically counterfeit thai food. Dont get me wrong! — Its good but this is not authentic thai food. Huge portions– cute little place– mom and pop

OLD and STAIL food. I would give this place ZERO stars if it gave me the option. First off, my mom ordered Fried Rice but the lady gave us chow mein. When we got home we discovered it was chow mein. My mom called the place and the lady was RUDE and started arguing. She has no communication skills and she never treats the Customers fairly. The chow mein was oily and stail and tasted sour. I threw it out! Also when I asked the lady on the phone about the manager, she said there is no manager and she just works there. That lady needs to get fired or explore herself elsewhere because she is too uptight and has no respect for anyone, probably not even herself. Worse Thai place and never coming back.

The lady was Arrogant, RUDE and Disgusting. I asked her for a sample of a curry she just ignored me and gave me a look that she never heard something like this. When I asked her again about the sample she said there is a person behind me so she couldn’t give me a sample. OMG, so rude and unprofessional. The food was extremely oily and tasteless. I definitely won’t be going.

I am a regular customer at Thai Express. Their food is delicious and customer service is fantastic. I have been recommending them to my family and friends!

Good for a fast food option, and cheap for a family dinner. I do think that their dishes taste all the same, especially when you get used to having their take-out. Service is OK, but the food is good if you’re looking for something fast, and not panda express.

Red curry in a hurry! Had this place today for lunch after a year. Food is a 4⁄5 and service I’d say is a 5⁄5 but there isn’t much to judge when the food is already made and served(think panda express.) Only flaw was all of the sauce from my entrée dripped into the bag. Oh well.

One of the things I love about thai food is that it is fresh and has very little to no oil, taste was good, but very greasy, really can’t figure out why they use that much grease. Not sure why people think because you get alot food its good.

The service was very bad, and she didn’t answer any questions I had regarding the food. She also looked pretty annoyed the entire time because I guess I came in while she was eating her own lunch. The pad Thai was extremely oily, my bag was leaking. And it was very very sour, I definitely won’t be going back.

I have gone to this place a lot in the past and It was so amazing, the food was amazing too! I went twice in January and the women who works there now was very rude(not the same amazing nice lady from the last) she needs to be washing dishes or in the back!!! I had ordered food and the egg rolls I ordered were frozen and the oil was dripping. I took them back and the lady was MAD! I told her these don’t taste good and they are frozen. I told her I’ll just exchange for something else and she was got even more mad and said, «you’re wasting the food and now you don’t want it? You’re not getting anything in exchange here’s your money» I will never ever go back to this place! She’s rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. The other lady that used to work there when it first opened needs to come back!!!

I have been coming to this place often, for 8 years with my family. Over those years, the quality has severely declined in their food. The owner is super nice and sweet, but for the price and quality for a lunch meal, it is not worth it anymore.

Good tasting, affordable Thai/Chinese food. The better deals are definitely during lunch when you can pay per item rather than entrée style during dinner service. Halal food that’s tasty and affordable… I recommend.

This is one of the only local halal Asian restuarants close to my house, and I’ve been going here since I was about 13 or 14 years old and I’m 21 now. If you want something quick, filling, and delicious come to Thai Express. I come here at least 3 times a month, I almost always order beef chow mein with sour and sour chicken. One of my favorite restaurants in Newark.

CASHONLY. Love this place. Its quick, its delicious and its affordable($ 6 – 10 a dish). Also the owner May is a sweet heart. She is Chinese, but a Muslim Chinese woman who saw a need to provide Halal Thai/Chinese food to the public. Fast and kind service(Food comes out in less than 10 mins). My top 3 Dishes: 1. Black Pepper Fish: The fish is always amazing and not too breaded. $ 9.49 2. Chicken or Veggie Pad Thai: Amazing. Simple and soothes my craving for pad thai at a decent price. 3. Kung pap chicken: Huge Portion for what it is. Plus the chicken is super lean. $ 8.49 White rice: $ 1 Brown rice: $ 2 Comes in a small Togo box. Most of the dishes come with white rice. Everything is served in white TO-GO boxes since it is a fast food joint. If you do choose to dine-in, they will give you plastic utensils and plastic plates, free of cost! Overall, I’m always here for a quick meal. Its not much of a dining experience, like its name its a quick express spot for delicious Thai food. So for that I give it 5 stars.

So, I’ve been hibernating for the past 6 months but I’m back!.. and my come-back review goes to Thai Express in Fremont. Yes, the place is small(from reading other reviews about the place) but this restuarant deserves an A+ for their food quality and taste. Hats off to the chef(s) of this joint. I ordered food for about 20 people for a surprise birthday party which I was throwing for my husband and all the guests absolutely enjoyed it! The price was also very reasonable! I’ve eaten the food here a couple of times in the past and it was great, but to make a large quantity and still have the food taste amazing is on a whole ‘nother level! I live in Vacaville and traveled all the way to Fremont just to pick up the food for that evening’s dinner. That, right there, should speak for itself about how awesome this place is! Halal, Thai Cuisine, Good Prices, Great Tasting Food– you just can’t go wrong.
