Yes this is like a dollar store place. But it’s way more clean & tidy than most. It’s almost cheery in there which is not true of most dollar stores. The bald guy I always see working there (Tony?) is extremely hard-​working and earnest. Ask him anything and he’ll show you what he has that hits the mark or gets close. Stuff is cheap in both senses of the word. Which is perfectly fine for lots of things that you don’t expect to last long anyway.

tony’s discount emulates dollar tree with a vast inventory of household necessities. not everything is a dollar. didn’t expect it to be.
didn’t see edibles, wasn’t looking for any. think ice bars available.
after a few glances. cashier asked me what i was looking for. «tape» i told him.
–2nd try, he found it
buys: clear tape (1.5)
–for packaging material, $ 1 cheaper than paper store.
–taiwanese made.
3.5 stars for having what i wanted and helping me find it.
