Highly recommended! Our family of four (husband, wife, and two teenage daughters) were in town for a wedding and needed some last minute styling (hair trim for me, the husband; styling and makeup for the ladies).
We crossed our fingers and hoped that we would find a place that knew what they were doing. As it turned out, they normally weren’t open on Sundays but, after speaking with them about our situation, they agreed to open up just for us!
The results were more than we could have hoped for. Not only are they incredibly nice and accomodating, we all walked out of there with probably the best hair styling (and makeup) that we’d ever had!
Having come from the San Francisco Bay area, that is saying a lot. Their prices are extremely reasonable too!
The next time you find yourself in or around Newark, do yourself a favor and visit Sonia’s Touch of Elegance!

My mother has been going here for many years an ways recommend it. I’m always scared when it comes to a new hair stylist. Finally tried a haircut ms blowout by Diana. AMAZING! My hair is finally growing fast due to how she cut and layered it. Blowout was great, she really nails how you want it styled! Price was grey as well! Have been several times top now. Must try!
