I have to agree with Ken. This is a huge rip-off. I gave $ 43.18USD and got $ 400 Mexican pesos. The exchange rate itself isn’t awful — $ 12.0356 pesos for $ 1USD. It’s the service charge of $ 9.95 that made it so expensive. You’re better off exchanging money before getting to the airport. A quick search on Unilocal and you’ll find much better options.

Major ripoff. You’ll be better off exchanging elsewhere as the currency exchange rates they use give you less money and they will buy back at market rates. I calculated about a 12−15% total after all is said and done. If you have to exchange here, negotiate a no-fee transaction so you will just lose out only on the exchange rate. My recent trips I used Visa gift cards(avoid CC theft) and a combination of cash on my trip and it worked out great. On some trips abroad, they welcome the US dollar; this was especially true on my vacation in the Dominican Republic. Also the exchange rate is reasonably there(ask the locals where) as well. Who would have thought?
