Fiesta Acapulco

We have eaten there several times, normally very good with excellent service. Last night they must have been short on the service staff. We waited much longer than typical or should have. Food was on the cool side and not at the same level as before. We’ll likely go back but if another round of poor service and food, we’ll likely move on.

I apologize it has taken this long to review our local watering hole. What a great restaurant gem in Newburgh. Yes I gave a Mexican restaurant 5 stars for a few reasons. I’ve never had a warm beer, never had a bad margarita (yes it’s a mix), the food is real and not some mystery meat, atmosphere is very kid friendly in parts yet still a bar area for those of us without kids. I always order the 2 chicken fried burritos. The burritos are always crispy and the burrito is 100% marinated juicy white chicken. I have had multiple meals and do not prefer their ground beef (not much of a fan anyways). Their Monday/​Wednesday/​Saturday drink special is best in Newburgh. $ 1 small margarita or upgrade to a double for $ 1 extra. Their draft beer is good as well and served in a ice cold mug.
As the reigning duke and regular I will also address Lanna L comments, I apologize a waiter found you attractive and wanted to start conversation this must be so unusually for you. Yes the ladies in my family have grabbed lunch after shopping multiple times and some waiters have called them «chica’s» and have interacted, but never crossed the line, my mom would have put them back in line quickly.
Seriously it might not be the most authentic and true Mexican food, but for food quality, convenience, strong drinks and service it gets my vote!

AMAZING!!! I was very impressed with the cleanliness and quality of this restaurant. The employees were very courteous and checked on is regularly. The food quality was fantastic and delicious. The steak was seasoned great. I dined with 4 people who all had different meals and we all had the same experience. The salsa is delicious. The homemade chips are divine. I love Mexican food and think this is one the best I’ve ever had. I’m from Idaho and wish I had a chance to eat here more often. Well done Acapulco.

I give it 5 stars. We have eaten here a lot, and it is consistently good every time. Fast service– always no matter how busy they are. I love the shrimp el Diablo, the fish is always fresh and tasty. And here’s a surprise– grilled zucchini is off the chart good. Keep it up!

Once again the food was excellent. I loved sitting outside watching the birds on the pond and the male waiters take great care of you…

Best Mexican restaurant in Newberg OR Evansville? Some people must not get out much or never had real Mexican food. the food was very bland not very much taste to it whatsoever I had to add a lot of hot sauce just get some flavor. the chips that they give you are stale and the salsa is too watery although the atmosphere was cool and the waiter was very nice but a frozen Mexican dinner would been better than this place I don’t get why its so busy. It must be because of margaritas although I find them to be a little weak. Party of 4 at 6pm on Friday. This is the 3^rd time I’ve been to this restaurant but I’ve never been happy with the food that we’ve ordered. Will not be coming back

Very good food. Definitely Mexican authentic cuisine. I had the carne asada tacos. AWESOME!!!
Their margaritas are very good also. Service was perfect! You’ll enjoy this place. Very solid restaurant and great atmosphere.

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. If I could have given them 3.5 stars I would. Why not 4 or 5? Well, I tend to reserve the higher numbers for places that take risks with their menus and ingredients. You won’t find unusual combinations here but you will find quality. The staff is fabulous and will take great care of you. Beware that the portions are pretty large so you might want to share.

Best Mexican food place in Evansville so far… the food is more like Spanish food than Mexican food… The Carne Asada tacos are a good staple item, not bad margaritas and decent salsa… worth going when in the mood for Mexican food…

The first thing I’ll say is this place is always crowded. The chips and salsa are ok. The food is the main attraction. Today I had the luncheon enchilada, tamale and rice and beans. It was served very quickly. The food was all good and very nice portion size. Normally I get a shrimp dish. It has large shrimp served over rice with sautéed squash and onions. I definitely recommend eating here if you haven’t already!

Great atmosphere. They have a really great outdoor area. Has a place for the kids to play. The outdoor area over looks a nice lake. The food is great and prices are reasonable.
