Newburgh Country Store

Love this store!!! Best candy selection!!! Taffy, old time candy sticks, cigarette gum, cigar gum, bazooka, jaw breakers!!! Soda pops, and lots of cute toys and many other wonderful gifts to take home to loved ones!!!

Fifteen years ago, we lived near this town and always enjoyed visiting Newburgh and this adorable country store.
Last weekend we traveled back thru the area… and were thrilled to see it’s still there and still adorable.
Great selection of home décor, gift items, and more — particularly candles and coasters. They have a nostalgic candy section, think «penny candy,» and gourmet coffees, snacks, etc.
The proprietor now is the grandson of the man we met back-​when, and I’m so glad to see him keeping the tradition alive.
If you are a fan of Honey House skin care products, they have a nice selection and some products I had not seen before.
If you visit here and the shoppes down the street, you’ll have a charming afternoon, I promise.

This really well decorated old barn-​style building has some of the most unique items inside of it. As a person that is constantly trying to compete with friends that do nothing but shop the internet for bizarre/​one-​of-​a-​kind gifts, this place could definitely keep me in good standing.
Did you know that the hazelnut is an actual nut-​sized nut, and not just a really small crushed-​up ingredient thrown in chocolate spread? The candy store in the back sells full hazelnuts covered in chocolate and powdered sugar. This shit could put M&M’s under — they’re that amazing. They also have these tiramisu balls that are phenomenal — definitely worth stopping in for.
