WHATTHE F*&^%(CK??? Called Sears to have my fridge checked out for temp issue. Half day of work cancelled to be home for this repair(=$ 1500 in patients). No driver showed up, so I called Sears, and was told driver DID show, and left as I was not home! No text, call, knock at the door or ringing doorbell. Oh, and he says he left a sticker on my door– no sticker! Then I got a half dozen robo-calls telling me how important it is to call Sears to re-schedule my appointment! I did, and got a different repairman, and we determined the cost of repair was not worth it, so I bought a new fridge at Sears, and today, cancelled ANOTHER half day of patients to have it come. Guess what? No one here, so I called Sears before the window was up, and the same driver said, AGAIN, that they were here and I was not. No call, text, knock at the door or ringing doorbell. The local landscape company calls me, lets me know the driver’s name, and when they are coming, and they show up. Not so hard, eh? But Sears, with massive delivery experience, can’t do so. I tried calling Mr. Lambert, the Sears CEO(847−286−2500), at the number my wife was told was his personal number, and it is just another set of options(1 for deliveries, 2 for purchases, etc.). Giving Sears my money is costing me money and fells like work. If this has happened to you, please call Mr. Lambert, and let him know you’re done with Sears. Hello, Lowe’s!!! The WORST service I have ever dealt with and deeply disappointing and irritating. You guys suck!!!

DONOTSHOPATSEARS! Was duped into purchasing a worthless warranty for a dryer I bought from Sears that needed to be repaired. *Never any appointments available less than 2 weeks out… *Repairman pulled a ‘no-show’ and I was informed 15 min before he was supposed to be there. *Given the run around by Sears Customer Care and Sears Customer Solutions. * Tried to invoke the $ 500 buy out clause for the warranty, but found I was duped and that it was never really an option, based on the wording of the warranty. * Dryer is still not fixed, almost a month an a half later, and no end or hope in sight. SEARSDOESNOTCAREABOUTIT“S CUSTOMERS. Contact me for details if you like, as this is the very short version of the story.

Bought an HDTV here. Price was comparable to Wal-Mart and they were willing to price match the $ 5 difference(PLUS). The original guy we spoke to was very stand-offish and used hyperbole to describe everything(«this feature makes your TV10 times better!») in addition to making up facts about what a SMARTTV truly is(it does NOT contain some technology to make the picture clearer, it simply possesses better Web 2.0 interfacing)(MINUS). Our original salesman left(thank god) and the next guy was much nicer and amenable to our questions/requests(PLUS). Drove to the«pickup» area in the back of the store and were surprised to see no one else in line(PLUS) — expected to be out of there in under 5 minutes. Instead, we waited for OVER45 minutes, which caused us to be late for dinner(MINUS, MINUS, MINUS). Imagine waiting for 45 minutes at the back of an already run-down mall at sunset, staring at just a forest and an empty parking lot with no human beings in sight for miles, sitting on a metal railing and/or tire tower(no seats, of course). Every 5 minutes, we could hear the transporter paging the manager overhead to open«the cage» to no avail(MINUS). After about 25 minutes, the awesome transporter was kind enough to leave his post and go grab the keys on his own and get the TV for us(PLUS, the only reason this place is getting more than 1 star). Still no manager by the time we ended up with the TV(MINUS). If I ran a business, I would personally come to apologize for what happened, but I honestly was not surprised. Sears, get your act together– next time we’re going to Wal-Mart.

I’m a guy so naturally my rating is based on being in the hardware department, though my wife has dragged me over to appliances and the clothing departments. The store is huge, naturally for a sears, and it has an automotive center adjacent to the main store. I pick up all my manly gadgets here(e.g. mower, tools).
