Amazing amazing! I initially came upon this place just looking for a supply store to do my own hair. I saw they also had a salon so I called and they took my last minute appointment same day. I was looking for a place that could also accommodate the silver hair dye products I was looking for which they said they had. When I arrived they made me feel at home right away. I was able to kill two birds with one stone and get a gel manicure while her husband worked on my hair. (manicure still intact more than 2 weeks later!) Even though I needed a double process to accomplish what I wanted, he stayed an extra 2 hours to finish it. I was at first a little apprehensive seeing that the place was so small and that the salon may have been secondary to a supply store, however my results turned out so amazing!!! Got some aftercare products, everything was super reasonable and affordable and the married couple that run the shop just make the experience so enjoyable! I flew to Ny the next day with the full treatment thanks to them. I will definitely be back! This place is a hidden gem!

Best selection of beauty products in the area. Rabia the hairdresser is an excellent colorist and hairdresser as well. Lee the manicurist did a great job on my French pedicure and she said that she does acrylic and gel as well as deal with ingrown toenails. It is nice that you can have a pedicure while getting your hair done and buying your hair products. I used to have to go to 3 different places for all the above.

It’s really hard to find a good place to get a men’s haircut. Chain places like SportClips or Supercuts are ok, but depending on your location you may not have someone at chain stores like that who is used to doing modern men’s haircuts.
On the opposite end you have the new trend of hipster men’s barbershops, but sometimes those can be overbearing and costly. I find the barbers at those places are generally not the nicest.
In comes Hieu at Beauty Island. This guy is meticulous with his haircutting, and best of all he is extremely courteous and actually listens to every concern/​desire you have about your haircut!
Prices are extremely reasonable. The other fellow who cuts hair there (sorry, didnt catch the name) also seems very nice. Great place, has earned a loyal customer!

Hieu is so awesome. And he can read your mind… very attentive and professional hair stylist. I am a very picky person when it comes to my haircut… got to look good, I mean who doesn’t? Right… Hieu really spent good quality time cutting my hair and I am so thankful that people gave him a five stars so that I can find him. Give him a shot and you will be very impressed.

I have never been so happy with a haircut in my life! I went to Beauty Island after reading reviews with just a little hesitation because I have never had luck with finding a stylist I would go back to. I was greeted warmly and when I showed Hieu 2 photos and gave a description of what I wanted he actually was involved and on the same page. He is a genius, a true artist. He took his time was precise and really showed that he is an expert in his craft. After the cut he checked his worked making sure each piece was correct. He gave me tips he was mindful of the little things and I will be a lifelong client! I bought product as well great pricing and friendly customer service. Only Hieu will be cutting my hair I will recommend to anyone needing beauty supplies or hair appointments!

I frequent Beauty Island for the beauty supplies and I absolutely love them there. The owner and her daughter are very helpful and always keep my products in stock. They are both very good at suggesting products to fit my needs. I brought my son in yesterday and Kimmy, the daughter, directed me towards some products for his hair and explained how they work and how to use them. They always greet me with a smile and a «hello.» I’ve been going there for awhile now and I hope they never leave. Five stars from us!

I was in a panic & needed some fake lashes for my daughters play. We were on our way to the performance without lashes.
Found Beauty Island on Unilocal & it looked promising. I called to make sure they had what I wanted & the girl on the phone assured me & gave me great directions. When I rushed in the gal at the front desk said, Lashes?” YES!
Kimmy was so helpful! She helped me pick out the perfect lashes & steered me away from the ones that I wanted to get with her great professional opinion. She was right! She went above & beyond & helped us get the lashes on since I am disastrous. All while still manning the phones & answering every question I had. She would’ve helped much more but we had to get on our way.
Wish I would’ve known about this place earlier but grateful I do now. As I was thanking Kimmy she told me she is the owners daughter & told me she grew up around beauty products. I can tell! Great girl & great place!!! Thanks!!!

I visited Hieu on Monday and he was a meticulous stylist. The cut I’ve received has to be the best cut I’ve received in years. No strand of hair was out of place. I will be referring all of my friends and family here.

Just moved to Newbury Park and needed a salon. I was a little apprehensive, but took the chance based on other reviews and I was blown away! Hieu did an amazing job, best haircut I think I’ve ever had. Hieu really took his time, listened and communicated back to me what I was looking for making sure we were both on the same page since I was a new client. His cuts were very precise and you can see the pride he takes in his work. His daughter works in the shop to and was so very nice and very accommodating. Great people, great cut, great price. I will certainly be back, this is my new salon.

Have been coming here for hair cuts for about 5 years. Hieu is great. I went from long to short and everything in between, and he’s always given me the perfect hair cut. He really takes his time, never rushes, and is very skilled at what he does. He likes to focus on cutting your hair, and is very technical, with great results.

Took my brother here to get his haircut and Hieu did a fantastic job! He took time to really make sure it looked great. Will definitely go back.

I have been getting my hair cut by Hieu for five years and wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. His rates are very reasonable, and he has a great memory for exactly how you want your hair styled. He is also great with helping you decide if you want to do something different and is honest about what will and won’t work with your particular hair. He takes his time to get the cut just right and exactly how you want it too. Appointments are pretty easy to get, sometimes on the same day you call. Up until finding this salon I had never stayed with a stylist more than a year or two, but I can’t imagine going anywhere else now — Hieu does an excellent job!

I’m a dude, and I’m not ashamed to say that I go to a salon called Beauty Island to get my hair cut by Hieu. I’ve been going there for almost five years now, and he always remembers how he cut it two months before and is always careful to make sure it’s what you want. He knows what he’s talking about when it comes to hair. Seriously, I don’t trust anyone else to touch my hair. It’s a genuine mom & pop place I drive from Camarillo for.

Beauty Island Salon is THE place to get your hair cut and styled. Hue is a great stylist. He is careful and takes his time to make sure that he is doing a flawless job. He is the only person I trusted to cut my hair for years. Even while living in Northern California while in college, I wouldn’t get my hair cut until I went home to get Hue to cut my hair cut. He charges a very reasonable price and does a fantastic job with coloring and highlights.
My stylist in Northern California even noted what a wonderful highlighting job he did. I just wish I lived closer to Hue so I could continue going to him.
Next door is the nail salon; they also do a great job for manicures and pedicures.
