I’ve actually been on location — the other reviewers are just reviewing the bikes overall. This is the least douchey bike store I’ve been in on the Westside. All the guys(no gals in sight) were very nice. I came in knowing about the bikes and their quality, with a recommendation from a friend. When I said what bike I was interested in, they handed me a helmet, told me a good route to test it and sent me on my way. It was an awesome experience. :)

I have bought and owned numerous Giant bicycles, Everything from a Animator my son got for christmas last year to my 2TCR’s, 1 Trance, 2 Reigns, 1NRS and my wifes Acapulco to name all of them. I also used to work in a shop that sold Giants. Giants quality and pricing is very hard to beat. Just look at any other brands and compare prices, specs and technology that are in these bikes and the Giant is usually always the best value. Can’t say enough about these bikes, I have a new 2011XTC229er I have on layaway and cannot wait to ride it. I will surely buy many more in the future.

This review is long overdue. I consider myself fortunate to own and ride an OCR3 from this fine cycling company. So far my OCR3 has survived 2 Chicago winters and a year on the bombed out streets of Boston requiring nothing more than preventative maintenance and tunes. What a reliable machine! The Sora drivetrain is not the best available and sometimes needs a bit of attention but it has proven to be adequate in some gnarly conditions that cyclist in seasonal cities sometimes face. Anyone who has lived in Chicago for any amount of time knows exactly what I’m talking about. My OCR3 has been known to carry me from East Lakeview to the Loop(Chicago) in 9 minutes and from Coolidge to Central(Boston) in 7 minutes. The DA22 Alexrims have been a slight issue but nothing that my buddies at Landry’s can’t take care of. I just feel like I may need something a little more burly for these Boston streets where really anything goes. For example, I crashed into a rogue pedestrian in Coolidge Corner and she got up unharmed but my front rim looked like an accordion. Either way, the rim trued out nicely and I was back in the saddle the next day. Consider me a customer for life. Now, if only I could get my hands on one of those Rabobank team models!
