The UPS Store

I’ve been to plenty of stores where they pack and ship your items, both mom & pop and national chains, and this one has hands down the best customer service of any I have visited. Seriously, fast and friendly service with a GENUINE smile is all too rare these days, but I experienced it here.
I visited this particular UPS because I needed to drop off a very expensive camera to be repaired. I could have packed and shipped it from another location, but I couldn’t the call of resist the call of the road and the opportunity to make an impromptu road trip with a friend. The business that repaired my camera uses the UPS Store’s personal and business mailbox services. At the UPS Store, you can have your mail and packages accepted using a real street address, not a P. O Box number. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. The UPS employee, Jeff, accepted my package and filled me in on how their service worked. I found him very helpful and reassuring.
While we were there, we started looking at the tower full of unique and amusing greeting cards, giggling and handing them back and forth. My fellow road tripper ended up purchasing several of them before we left.
When you hear ‘UPS Store’, you immediately think of packing and shipping supplies and services. Did you know that they offer a variety of other services, too? You can make copies of your documents, fax them, even have them notarized? They’ll even shred them for you if you you like the top secret cloak and dagger stuff. Don’t forget to smile for the camera if you’re having a passport or iD photo taken.
We saw several people dropping off packages and picking up mail from their boxes while we were there. Everyone seemed to get in and out of there quickly, no delays and no frustrations. I don’t like to just throw around the five star reviews, but I honestly can’t think of a single thing they could have done to make my experience better.

Amazing staff and they do a fantastic job with shipping and with Printing. These other reviews are very harsh and they must have hit a bad day… we have had nothing but amazing service out of this store.

Horrible service & finally tired of going here just because it is so close. previous owners were friendly, warm & caring @ had staff who was great. Very clean & orderly. Not anymore & I’ve given this store plenty of time to turn around. Now going to shipping store down a block @ Trader Joe plaza. Much better!!!

Unbelievable! I had a box to ship and needed one 12″ strip of TAPE. TAPE. We’re talking about a strip of TAPE. And they wouldn’t give me a strip of tape. Said I had to buy a roll!!! Never again will I come here.

I would like to update my review! The service has improved so much and much much happier!!! Maybe it was a change of ownership snafu. Great service and also notary service available!

Jeff was super helpful when I arrived needing a hand getting the mini fridge I had to send back to Amazon out of my car. I was irritated having to deal with this return, but Jeff made it super easy and efficient! Thank you!!!

Got to store at 4:55 pm on Saturday afternoon. Since posted closing on Saturday is 5 pm, I assumed I would have no problem dropping off my pre-​paid UPS package. Store was already locked with gates pulled down at 4:55 (time based on my smartphone so I know it was accurate.) Had to make another trip today to drop off package. Didn’t even get a token «sorry» when I told young man working today about early closing in Saturday. Disappointing customer service all the way around. Store needs to stay open until posted closing time

I have been doing business with this store since 2004. I have a mailbox there and have a lot of things shipped in and out of there. They have always been pleasant and very nice to deal with.

Used to really like this place. I don’t have a mailbox there, but they always seemed friendly and helpful…
… until …
I realized they were overcharging me and lying about it!!!
Well, they were either lying or ignorant. I can’t figure out which.
I always thought their prices were a bit high for shipping, but I chalked it up to inflation and high fuel prices.
Finally I had to ship something big and heavy, and they quoted me a price of $ 74. I was shocked. I expected something like $ 50. I asked if prices were higher here than other UPS Stores, and they INSISTED that such a thing would be impossible, because «the computer sets the price.»
So I disgustedly walked out and thought I would try FedEx instead.
Before venturing into FedEx, I decided on a whim to test their claim by taking it to the corporate-​owned UPS center on Rancho Conejo. That same package shipped for $ 56!
So I asked the guy at the corporate owned UPS place how it could have possibly been so much cheaper if the computer sets the prices, and he answered, «That’s what they tell you over there, but it’s not true. They set whatever prices they want.»
So here I’ve been paying a premium all this time, and never realized it. Really frustrates me.
Anyway, this place is fine if you have a prepaid UPS label, but if you need to ship on your own dime, take it to 1501 Rancho Conejo!

After going to this place off and on over the past 8 years, I have been snapped at by the rude owner for the last time! Every time I go in I have the feeling she’s going to find something wrong with what I’m shipping/​mailing… and she always does… Today I handed her two cards to mail (like you do at the post office) and she pointed to the other side of the store and said, «The outgoing mail goes over there… you see… that’s where it always goes!!!» It’s like she needs hormone replacement therapy for her bitchiness! I told her that she should act a little kinder to her customers because businesses are going out right and left these days. Maybe if the outgoing mailbox was in the front of the store where it was obvious, I would have dropped it in the slot. But since it was hidden in the back of the store, out of view, it wasn’t so obvious! She bragged to me in front of her customer that «My customers love me». Really… I wouldn’t flatter yourself lady! In fact, I’m sure the guy that was standing in front of you wasn’t too impressed! I have no patience for bitchy customer service these days! Buh bye!
