I eat here almost everyday on my lunch break. Healthy, fast, fresh and pretty affordable. I depend on their Revitalive bowl and macro bowl to keep me going! I also recommend the chai smoothie and macha smoothie. I’ve done a few juice cleanses as well… everything about this place is amazing!

I really like this place for the food. Their bowls are about as healthy as it gets. Worth the high price in my opinion.

If you are looking for a place to grab a healthy drink or meal before work, this is not your place. They open at 9am — I guess it caters to the retired crowd and the night shift. Big bummer.

The food here is healthy and delicious. I had the falafel bowl and my husband had the Asian bowl. It’s probably good that we live a couple of towns over or I would eat here everyday. I don’t think it’s pricey if you consider the quality of the ingredients.

Agreeing with other reviewers, it’s surprising that everything in the juice bar/café is pre-made, pre-bottled. The prices are steep($ 10 for a bottle of juice.) The bowls are ok(we had three different bowls) but high priced, and plain, if not unskillfully prepared. The café itself is a tiny triangle, and should you choose to drop $ 25 on a lunch bowl and a smoothie or juice, you sit outside the café in a hallway with plastic utensils. It’s a shame, great location for a healthy-beverage option. But given the high price, the fine but not great, unique or memorable offerings, and the unpleasant seating I’ll never go back.

This is a very niche place, catering to vegans and health freaks. They offer a juice and smoothie bar, sugar free desserts and raw vegan food. Those they choose or want to avoid gluten, dairy or soy will be well served here. It’s in the Tannery which is a cool building anyway with a great bookstore. The prices for this stuff are high anywhere, higher because it’s Newburyport, and make wanting to try any of this a dream if you don’t follow that lifestyle. There’s just to many better options nearby, but they cater well to their cornered market.

This was my first time visiting Revitalive. I ordered an orange strawberry pineapple smoothie. It was delicious. You can explicitly taste all the flavors and it was worth the price. A 16oz smoothie was almost $ 7, but it was good, so I can’t complain! They also have other healthy options and meal supplements. Check this place out if you’re in the area!

After posting my review I received a call from the Anna, one of the owners of Revitalive. She expressed her regrets for the miscommunication and explained that she would be happy to honor the ½ off promotion that I was not able to previously redeem. By reaching out to solve customer complains personally, she showed me that customers are important to them and that they continue to operate under the principles that they started with. The food has always been amazing so no complaints there, I only wish it was more affordable but I guess that’s the price you pay for organic, clean food. I am looking forward to starting another cleanse with them this week!

Pretty disappointing. I was so excited to find something that offered plan based options in the area. But what is the point of calling yourself a juice bar when you can’t even order fresh juice? Everything is pre-made and pre-bottled sitting in a cooler for who knows how long. I also found it to be really expensive at $ 10 a bottle! Even for high quality fresh juice that’s a pretty steep price. The store is small and awkwardly set up and the big menu on the wall doesn’t even tell you what’s in the smoothies or juices. You have to find one of the paper menus or read the bottles to get better descriptions. The juices and smoothies aren’t bad but it’s not worth the high cost. You’re better off going to the juice bar at whole foods and getting twice the amount of freshly made to order juice for the same cost.

My husband and I just had our first smoothie — we both ordered the«Evergreen» with rice protein(28G!). It tasted like a mint chocolate shake — thick and totally delish. We will have more lunch breaks at Revitalive!

Location & Practical Stuff: Revitalize is located inside a yuppy former mill, called the Tannery No. 1(there is a Tannery 2 and 3). There is parking in a private lot in front of the Tannery. I’ve been to several raw places, and this ranks up there as one of the best both in terms of food and price($ 30 for juice, brownie, and two entrees — which for raw food is extremely reasonable). The staff was really sweet, and gave me tips on my juice. I had the unt-tuna salad(I’d give it a 4), the chili(also a 4, it was good — not like cooked chili), and a green lemonade(really good — but drink it that day, don’t keep it overnight like I did, it gets super bitter). I also got the beet probiotic juice, which was great! My raw brownie was AMAZING — I so wish they’d had a cookbook so I could replicate it. Definitely will be back the next time I’m in Newburyport! Con: It’s too far away from where I live — I really wish that Revitalize was closer to me!

Lady working the counter was very nice. The location of the juice bar is in a cute area. I got the Pineapple Mango Smoothie, it was delicious. My friend got the Mango Dream. It was okay. Kinda tastes like they blended the pit of the mango in his drink. However the place did smell great. If I was hungry I would have stayed for lunch!

After spending the morning into the afternoon on the beach at Plumb Island, we decided to grab a bite to eat. Craving some felafel and trying to please my wife’s vegetarian craving, we decided to hit up Revitalive. Let me tell you, as a meat eating carnivore, I was not overall impressed and as a lover of falafel I was disappointed in their preparation of it. I should also note that while I wasn’t so much a fan of the food; my wife did enjoy the quinoa and our son loved the smoothie. I have updated this review to include a more balanced take on the menu. We will be also visiting again in the future.

Fantastic raw food and smoothie place. Great place for folks following a Primal, Paleo, Raw Food, Gluten-Free, or Vegan lifestyle. Also great for people that just want a delicious and healthy fruit or vegetable smoothie.

I’m not a vegan… Nor do I care to become one, but Revitalive makes its pretty tempting. I work nearby and I pop over to get one of their bowls for lunch pretty often. I like that I can call ahead to order it, and I also like that they have a rewards card. It’s nice having a healthy alternative in the area.

I was very impressed to find this place! As a vegan, traveling around random places, it can certainly be a pain to find great food. This place was very cute– it has raw and cooked food, desserts, and even some grocery items. It is in a very cool old mill building that has been transformed into a mall. I had an un-tuna salad. I have had other raw faux tuna salads made with nuts, but this one was seed based and really pretty good. The back to roots bowl was also yummy(and very akin to Life Alive in Cambridge/Salem/Lowell, if you’ve eaten there). The turtle brownie was tasty and very rich. The coconut bluberry pudding was yummy, though probably not worth $ 6 unless you are really craving coconut. The wait staff were very nice. Tip well!(and then go walk around the beaches and nature reserve of plum isalnd!)

9⁄10. Went to Revitalive yesterday(April 2013). The place was phenomenal. I made sure to get a bunch of stuff off the menu to ensure I was getting a full taste of what they had to offer. I got a chocolicious smoothie which was fantastic. It is made from almond milk, bananas, cacao powder, and hemp seeds I believe. Great consistency and texture, and the flavor was bomb too. Only downside was that it was $ 7. Kind of expensive for a basic smoothie, but that does seem to be on par with the other places I have been to like this one. I also got one of their ‘cold’ bowls, call the ‘revitalive’ bowl. It is basically quinoa with salad and veggie burger pieces on top. The dressing they put in the dish is ridiculously good — I’m not sure how they make it and keep it vegan. That was actually a great deal(around $ 8). I would highly recommend that. I then got a shot of wheat grass($ 2.50), which was what you would expect, and a bottled juice called ‘Minty Melon’(Watermelon, Celery, Lemon, Mint, Ginger). The juice was just ok — kind of strong on the ginger side, but saved itself being only $ 5. Overall I would give this place a 9 out of 10. The atmosphere is cool and they have a lot of great options. It’s also located in a fun shopping center in Newburyport. The –1 is for somewhat higher prices than the average juice /smoothie bar I have been to recently. — — — – Update(July 21, 2013): Went back again today, and I must say, it did not disappoint. I honestly forgot how good this place is. I got an evergreen smoothie and a falafel bowl. I also tasted the cookies & cream smoothie. Everything was delicious. The smoothies tasted like frappes. So creamy and delicious, yet still vegan. I stand behind my 9 out of 10 rating from before. It is definitely on the pricey side of smoothie bars, but the food is so good. I would recommend to anyone looking for good, healthy food.

Founded by two vegan converts, Revitalive is one of Newburyport’s many hidden gems. It’s an honest and independent plant-based café in the center of a building devoted to local commerce. It is kind of easy to miss, but has really excellent offerings and is definitely worth the search. For around $ 5, I had a 12oz orange pineapple and banana smoothie. The counter person was really informative, and recommended it to me. I’m happy she did. It was of just the right consistency, it was refreshing and sweet but not excessively either: it rocked. When in Newburyport, I’ll be sure to return.
