Went with my wife, 2 infants and some friends, was good wine and pretty good people. What really stands out is the location, so much space to picnic and play. There are multiple covered spaces and a few acres of grass for people and dogs. Yes I seems like dogs are encouraged and it was pretty popular, but there was plenty of room. They had music and tons of parking, the are on my short list for my wine tour in may.

Excellent stop for a fun Saturday afternoon! Their tasting and wine prices are very reasonable and I don’t think I’ve ever tasted a wine from there that I didn’t like. Not too far off the beaten path so pack a picnic, bring the dog(all dog friendly, even the tasting room!) and enjoy a lovely afternoon with some delicious wine! They even have a few beers on tap so the boyfriend has fun too!

We stopped in this Sunday and had a tasting that blew me away! The wine here is really really good, I especially loved their Sauvignon Blanc. When you arrive you will probably meet Pearl the wine dog… She’s pretty amazing! And you must must must request to have Dan do your tasting because he made us feel right at home, so much hospitality!

Fabulous! Must go! Great spot… great wine, live music, trinkets and a staff that welcomes you! Loved the palate cleanser chocolates and bread sticks too! Don’t skip it!

If you like zins, you need to visit this winery. They also often have live music, fun wine-themed gifts and they have auburn alehouse beers on tap. My favorite Lincoln winery!

I love Dono Dal Cielo Vineyards. we have been wine club members since the days of the gazebo before the tasting room was built. The staff is awesome love Dan who is behind the bar. He is always friendly… really a big teddy bear. Karen, Bill, Hunter, Dan and Raquel make the winery. We enjoy the wine and the hole experience of the winery. Carolyn P.

Dono Dal Cielo has such a nice facility and location that they may not need to make a good wine, but this Zinfandel-focused winery is putting forward a nice range of estate wines. This is a great stop after a nice hike through Hidden Falls or just a lazy weekend. For those living in South Placer County, I would recommend checking out the local wineries which are literally in your backyard! Dono has a small tasting area in a large warehouse which is nice and chill due to both the abundant air conditioning and the great staff. They even have live music on the weekends. There is a tasting fee, but it is waived with purchase and they have a lot of labels on the tasting bar. Some of the wines are a little different, but Zin lovers will like the extensive range found here. Several couples seemed to linger here which is a good testament to the wine and the location. I will return to this winery.

This is one of our favorite places to go, so much that we joined their wine club. Great cheese plates, very enjoyable music and fun crafts to browse through. If I have family here from out of town this is where I want to bring them. The drive is great and the wine is amazing!

One of the few wineries on the Placer County Wine Trail. Located just a few miles away from Hidden Falls. Plenty of parking. Lots of room to enjoy a picnic and some of the wines. Dog friendly is the winery. Reasonable tasting price and wines. Wine club was also a good reasonable affordable point. We were greeted friendly promptly with menus. The lady was pleasant and well articulated. She was new but knew the wines and what to expect from each wine taste. There’s are a few palette cleansers on the counter including crackers and chocolates. I don’t recall all the wines, but more than half of them we enjoyed. We couldn’t decide immediately but settled on one of them of which we have since consumed. The wine was as good as when tried it. Overall great experience. We will come back after our next hike in the area.

Great setting and they have a very friendly and fluffy vineyard dog. He’s the most chill dog I’ve ever seen. The wine and service was spot on. Plenty of seating and a cool setting with wine barrels stacked high in the tasting room!

Super nice, friendly winery. Our second stop, large tasting room, there was a band setting up to play, but we didn’t stay long enough to hear. The grounds are immaculately kept, with some tables, perfect if you pack a picnic. Nice, open tasting room in a warehouse setting with plenty of bistro tables. There’s a $ 5 tasting fee which is waived if you purchase a bottle. After tasting about six different wines, we chose the 2008 Zin. The bottle was $ 35, but our wine steward was gracious enough to deduct $ 10 for our tasting fee. Sweet! Most of the wines here are $ 25 and up. Our steward did mention that we could join their wine club and it was $ 75 for three bottles with free tastings, but we declined. This is a nice place to hang out with friends and share a bottle. It’s doggie friendly, with«Pearl» the Great Pyrenees, hanging out to greet visitors, it’s very welcoming for the four legged visitors. Pearl loves to make friends! Oh, and if you’re not into wines, there’s two different Auburn Alehouse beers on tap.

Stopped by here with some friends to do some wine tasting. Once inside, we opted to just buy a bottle as well as the cheese tray. The lady who helped us was very pleasant. There are tables & chairs outside to sit & enjoy your wine nearby the vineyard. The cheese tray was an assortment of cheeses, crackers, nuts, dried fruit, etc & very tasty. They do change it up, which is nice cuz when you return, you’ll get something different. The wine was just fantastic, we really enjoyed it. This is a lovely venue. So we cleaned up our area & were on our way… to Auburn for more wine tasting. Unfortunately, those wineries were NOT as pleasant an experience. Can hardly wait to return HERE!

We went to do wine tasting today and the place looked really nice. It was quaint and cute, however the person helping us with the wine tasting was the worst. Extremely unfriendly, he seemed he did not want to be there had very poor attitude made us feel very unwelcomed. There were two other guys behind the bar helping other customers and we wished we had someone else helping us as the other two gentlemen looked more friendly and helpful. Will not go back!

The winery was great and the wine was quite nice. My wife and I love visiting wineries for tastings. We were a bit surprised by the gentleman who was guiding our experience. He seemed disinterested in what he was doing. In fact at one point he even left and went outside. We love a relaxed tasting where we can learn about each wine and make some choices. He seemed upset if my wife did not rave about his wine. She has very distinct preferences and did find wine she loved. I would go again as long as I could have a different person assisting with our experience!

Like the venue, like the wine, loved the live music on Sunday, buuuttttt the big guy behind the bar, without the personality. lighten up a little. You aren’t bartending at a whisky bar… it’s ok to talk to people… the girls were back there having fun and striking up conversation with the people tasting… but,(mind you this was our second visit and he was like this the last time too) not this guy… felt like he was more of a bouncer at a LA night club than working at a nice winery… needless to say, he pours the wine. we drink the wine… Other than that, we loved it! :)

I went to this winery with a very large group of people a few weeks ago to celebrate my friend’s husband’s birthday. We arrived in a «party bus» but don’t let that fool you-we weren’t being rowdy or rude. This was the second winery that we had visited that day out of about six and also the one that left a lasting impression-not in a good way. There was a really nice woman that greeted all of us when we arrived but there was an old man serving wine that was a f***king a**hole!!! My boyfriend didn’t want to taste one of his wines(my bf is THE nicest guy you’ll ever meet) and this old man got really offended. He was completely rude and unwelcoming. Since he was being a big jerk I decided to give him a taste of his own medicine-I thought at first that he might be just joking with us since we were a yougn group. He poured me the tiniest taste ever(like a tear drop) and I said«may I please have some more?» to which he replied RUDELY«You do know this is a wine TASTING don’t you?» WHAT A PRETENTIOUSJERK!!! So I said«if you dish it you should be able to take it» and I walked away. I didn’t feel comfortable going back to the tasting area since he was such a dick head so I missed out on the entire tasting. I will say, though. this winery is beautiful. Their wine smells like paint and they have this one white-haired, bearded, constipated, kenny logins lookalike, pretentious jerk that pours wine but other than that we had fun. the BBQ truck outside isn’t bad. NOTE: If they were customer service related in any way they would reply to this review by appologizing and asking if there was any way they could make it up to me which would result in myself taking this bad review down but if that mean old prick reads these i’m sure he will post a defensive response dictating that we were being rude or something. which we weren’t and a lot of people in our group bought wine from them.

One of favorite local wineries! Both the wine and the atmosphere are great. My husband and I accidentally discovered this place while exploring the area over a year ago and since then we have been back several times. The tasting room is in a large warehouse surrounded by vineyards. Although the space is large and open, the owners have made the vibe feel cozy and inviting. On a few occasions there has been live music or an event happening when we stop in. Oh AND they are dog friendly which is definitely a plus for us, as we often bring our little ones along for the ride. The wine is fantastic. They have a few different zins, which happens to be one of my favorite varietals, and all are delish. One unique thing about this winery is that they invite you to relax at one of their bistro tables where they can bring the tastings to you. Dono Dal Cielo is definitely worth checking out, not only for their great wines but, for the beautiful and relaxing atmosphere.

Solid… Stopped in this past weekend for a tasting… they had live music and a nice crowd. the tasting room has plenty of seats and a big screen with college football playing. The tasting fee is 5 dollars and you can try 8 wines. Nice selection… Overall, it was enjoyable…
