If you are looking for really good mexican food, this place is for you! This is that hole in the wall mexican resturant that serves food so good you’ll think you’re sitting at grandma’s kitchen table. Give it a try. I think you’ll become a regular.

Greasy, greasy, greasy. I got food from here because I thought it was like the other«El Taco Llamas». Boy, was I wrong! I ordered two carne asada burritos and by the time I brought them home, the grease was dripping out of the dang burrito wrapper. Felt like I was drinking oil juice while eating my burrito. Disgusting! Never going back!

I like this place… The Ladies that work here are very nice and friendly, We have never had a problem with them having an attitude or rolling the eyes .We don’t speak Spanish but have never had a problem with them if we don’t understand the menu and the order has always been what we ordered. The Tacos, pork and or chicken are like authentic and so tasty .Also the prices are great., The salsa is the bomb. Cant wait to try the Carne Asada

The place isn’t bad, but its not great either. For lunch during a work week, they’re an okay place to go now & then.

this place is horrendous!!! dont bother coming here, this place is dirty, they have no sanitation whatsoever, the food is old and the employees are very rude. i noticed they were cooking my food without any gloves and when i pointed it out the lady she told me to shut the f**k up and sit down! i went off on her for pointing out her being unsanitary with my food and this woman has the nerve to tell me to shut up and leave after charging me more than what they have on display! i will definitely be calling the health department on their ass!

My dad and I have been eating breakfast at this place almost every Sunday for 2 years. I LOVE the food here. I’ll typically order the«Burro y Taco» combo with carne asada and my dad will get the«Fajita de res» steak plate. Both are always delicious, satisfying, and consistent. The meat is seasoned well and the beans and rice are fantastic. Will continue to come here often!

One star for their tripas tacos, they’re good, crunchy and tasty but everything else is like they make it in a hurry. I asked the cashier if the chiles rellenos had seeds, she said«no, they take them out» I trusted her but it seems like her cook and her don’t communicate often. Not only the chiles were full of seeds, they were covered with eggs instead of the traditional batter. They were so nasty, I threw them away. Check out the pictures… nasty!

Me and 2 of my coworkers used to go get food from there almost every day because it’s close to our work, food is ok but the customer service sucks, the fake blonde cashier with glasses always giving attitude and rolling her eyes at people, she thinks it’s our obligation to know the menu by memory and if you make a change in the order even if you haven’t paid, forget it, she’ll be pissed. Last time we order she got my order wrong and when i told her she tried to blame it on me, she started screaming and didn’t wanna fix my order. It’s not my fault if she got problems at home, I’m a paying customer and I expect to be treated with respect wich she doesn’t know the meaning of. Never coming back, found other places with good food and much much better customer service :)

Love this place! Their meat is always seasoned to perfection and all the contents inside just go so well together. I usually get the carne Asada burrito and I substitute cheese for beans. It’s amazing.

Some of their menu items are great, others not so much! The beef tacos are amazing. The beef is cooked so well and it is so flavorful! You could eat the beef by itself and it would still be tasty! I have also ordered the chicken enchiladas. The enchilada sauce is good but the chicken itself is very bland. There was absolutely no flavor, which is an absolute let down after the beef. Unfortunately I was also disappointed with their rice. It doesn’t compare to other places’ rice. But! The tortilla chips are wonderful. I wouldn’t think there would be competition in regards to tortilla chips, but man these are goooooood! They were so crisp and they taste great with salsa and even plain! Overall– a small joint with tasty beef, bland chicken, and the best tortilla chips!

I usually like this place but not today. Went in this morning and wanted a plate with just one enchilada. Girl at the counter said«You have to buy 3, it’s our plate special…». Did not want 3 enchiladas, just one. «Sorry we can only sell you 3…». Really? You failed this time El Taco Llama. Miserably. #customerservice

I have been enjoying this food for a while. It’s not the best but it’s decent. They need to get rid of this one cashier with the fake blonde hair. She’s so rude. I was placing an order with her and she must’ve heard me wrong when I said I wanted a pastor taco instead of asada, as if it was my fault she rolled her eyes. Don’t think I’m going back unless the rude cashier is not there. Food is good, bad customer service when this particular cashier is there and I think she’s there everyday. It seems like I always go when the other cashier is not there. She is great.

Never again will I back to this restaurant. I asked for a torta de jamon without mayonnaise and with extra guacamole and they gave. A torta with lots of mayo and no guacamole. Worst costumer service!!! I wish there was a way to close this business.

The quality of meat was poor. The chips and salsa were pretty good but everything else was just gross. I’d skip this place if I were you! Yuck :(

Have never visited this section of Newhall before and we were quite taken by this little old town. Walked the streets and came across this place which had a line coming out the door. Well, it *was* lunchtime, but still. So, we walked a little further to the end of the street, turned around and dropped on in. Pretty normal looking«order at the counter, sit down and wait for your name to be called» kinda place. Prices were fair. We ordered and split the Carne Asada Tacos and Chile Relleno Burrito. Both were good. Give them a 7⁄10 for the food and 7⁄10 for the service, but the bathroom was«ocupado» the entire time we were there so it gets a 0⁄10. Arriba!

Horrible Mexican spot! I eat a lot of Mexican food and this place is HORRIBLE. The lady that took my order was completely dumbfounded the whole time trying to get the attention of some guys that walked in. I felt completely ignored and when you are a paying customer you want to get the attention you deserve. I tend to lead my Mexican food reviews with the way their Horchata tastes. If the Horchata is not decent that means that the food is not prepped correctly which makes it unpleasant. Horrible experience for me and the food tasted just like the service; bad.

Today we drove up to Newhall to stroll around and check out the area as my husband will be working in that region. We wanted a Mexican lunch. The shrimp empanizadas and the fried fish with rice and beans were good! Their plates are humungous so be aware you get enough food for 2 people for $ 11 or so. The salad with a guacamole and cheese dressing is nice and fresh. I love the zing of the tomatillo sauce. It is right up from the library and very nice.

Carne Asada burrito. Very bland. For a place claiming to be fast food… on a Sunday with four people dining, I got the burrito in 15 minutes.

First, note that the location is on Main street in Newhall and it looks a lot nicer(from the outside) than the picture of the old location. We came here to try a few things in hopes we could use them to cater our upcoming wedding. The food was good and with a little modification on some items, I think it will be great for the wedding. They do need to fix or turn on the A/C. It was really hot and I just cant enjoy my meal when its that warm. We tried one of each taco(carnitas, pollo, asada and al pastor). Not a fan of the carnitas, very bland. We deleted that from our wedding menu and replaced with shrimp. We also tried the chicken fajitas and that was good, but a little bland. Could use a bit of seasoning. I wasn’t a fan of the chips, I think the humidity got to them and they didn’t stay that crispy. The rice and beans were good.

Got 25 tacos, 8 bean burritos, and 2 cheese quesadillas for a moving party for my bro. The tacos were as follows: 10 asada, 10 chicken, and 5 carnitas. Chicken were a little dry, asada were solid but far from amazing, and the carnitas were gone before i could make an assessment(must of meant they were good). Bean burritos are huge and delicious. The cheese was freshly melted on the inside. I would go back just for them. Cheese quesadillas disappointed as the cheese was inside the crispy shell, but not in liquid form. Still shredded. Everyone inhaled the food. Not sure if it was because of the taste or ravenous hunger?
