Manee House

We joined our vegan friends for a meal here and decided to try out the many vegetarian offerings — all were excellent! For started we ordered the spring rolls and fresh warps (my personal favorite for a Thai appetizer) — the waitress told us we could get them with tofu instead of shrimp that wall everyone cold try them. The fresh wraps were as good as any I have enjoyed.
On a lark I ordered the ginger hot tea to try it out — wow! Now I have a new favorite — the ginger and sweetness were just right — not overpowering and very soothing.
For entrees we had an assortment of Seven Heaven, a cabbage, sprout and rice noodle dish; black and white, shitake mushrooms and tofu in a light soy sauce; tofu steak, a large slab of tofu with a flavorful sauce; and a tofu curry dish. All of the entrees were flavorful and fresh.
We’ll definitely return here. The restaurant is very nicely appointed and food delicious!

This place never seems to be open. Came here during the hours posted and restaurant was completely closed.

The quality of the food is great!
But the «quantity» is a joke. I ordered the garlic pepper chicken with my gf… We both opened it and were like, ummmm wtf. I called and they said it was normal. A $ 9 dish should have much more food, still very hungry after eating it.

A big HO HUM for me. My wife had been wanting to try this place for some time. We finally did and it was a huge disappointment. Very forgettable food; literally.

Love this place, we have been going here for years. My kids love the orange chicken and we always get the mussaman curry and paid thai. Our fave thai restaurant in this valley.

I was on my GPS looking for a burger place when spotted this Thai restaurant. I came during the lunch hour so after a few minutes talking to the cashier/​waiter I decided on number 9 pad Thai with chicken and side of rice. I took it to go since I already had my drinks in the cooler. The food was hot and tasted spicy. I have not eaten at too many thai restaurants but the meal was good. Will come back here again and if it all goes right again I will upgrade to five stars. Also the waiter/​cashier was patient and helpful. He may have been the owner. Not sure.

Delicious! Perfect again! We ordered our usual– Pineapple Fried Rice, Pad Won Zen with chicken, Pad See You with chicken, and Stir Fried Eggplant with tofu– and it’s great!

I only go for the Power lunch special, because it works with my low budget. Pad thai is my go to. They bring you a wonton soup, egg roll and a salad that I absolutely love. Matter of fact if anyone knows how to make that salad dressing please let me know. Oh the thai tea mmmm good.

Really disappointed with the meals we got from this place. I had ordered a Teriyaki Beef dish and was given a Teriyaki Chicken dish, the Teriyaki flavoring was not there but more of a watery sauce.
My boyfriend got the Pad See Ew, he says the dish itself is his favorite from any Thai restaurant, but was very let down with this dish as it did not taste right.
The egg rolls were good and I doubt anyone could really mess these up. The fried wonton were also ok but did not taste as good as we have had from other restaurants.
The way the food came to us was horrible also. It was a mess in the bag. Even the Boba ice tea was spilt inside the bag. The napkins we were given was soiled from the sauces. We never even got forks either.
Very let down by this meal. I would hope they will improve on these meals but I am not sure my boyfriend and I will be ordering from Manee House again

I love this place I always go there after class, the owner is super nice and the food is good and affordable!
I also love Thai iced tea :)

I recently ordered a Tom Yum soup to go and it was really good. My boyfriend picked it up for me because I wasn’t in the mood for solid food and it this soup was just what I needed. It was spicy and citrusy just the way I like it. So happy to have a location that is good and walking distance from my house. Can’t wait to try other dishes from their menu.

My new favorite Thai restaurant. Good food and pleasant staff. I’ve been to other Thai places in Newhall, this is by far my favorite.

Came in for dinner. Upon walking in, the place looked pretty nice. There were maybe 2 – 3 other tables eating. When seated, our table had something spilled on it and they never cleaned it up. Didn’t bother my date too much though because we were sitting at a 4-​top. But it didn’t make such a good first impression…
We ordered gyoza, pad thai, and yellow curry. They ended up not having gyoza so we switched to fresh rolls without shrimp and I’m glad we did. They were really good, honestly. Probably some of my favorite fresh rolls I’ve had. The pad thai was pretty good and I liked the tofu in it. However, the yellow curry was WAY too spicy for me (they never asked spice level). I am not sure if it’s because I haven’t been able to eat spicy food recently, but man I was having to drink glass after glass of water to attempt to cool my mouth down.
Unfortunately the service was very slow. By the time we got our food (curry came out without rice and we had to wait a while for the rice… which was a bummer because we were hungry), the rest of the tables had left and it was just us in the restaurant. There were 3 people working but service was still really slow. Refills were slow on water and my date got up and actually grabbed chopsticks for me from the service cart and the waitress didn’t notice. Would have been nice if they checked on our table maybe once. Probably won’t be back, even tough they had bomb fresh rolls.

Thai iced coffee was good, Pad Thai with shrimp was way too salty. Ordered small house salad and out came a big bowl with home made potato chips on top with some bland dressing. Skip the place…

I love Manee house. Been going for 11 years even after moving out of state. The food is EXCELLENT, but the service is horrible. It’s a running joke in my family. Same great taste, same bad service. Tom Yum Good is the best ever.

Love this little family restaurant. Food is fresh, flavorful… delicious. Prices reasonable, atmosphere calm, staff attentive. I’ve been both for lunch and dinner. Will be back, definitely — want to try more dishes!

Slow service, but amazing food! To their credit it seems family run with very limited staff, typically only ever one person for the whole front of house. The food makes up for it with fresh ingredients and authentic Thai dishes. As you can see I still gave a high rating for the food alone! Have gotten food to go with family off and on for years now.

I come here often. The food is good device is marginal. Today I placed a to go order & I was told 20 mins. There is 1 table in the restraint so I ask how long if I have it here? 10 mins. Really okay so make for here & give me to go container. Next time I’ll just drive a bit further to thai pepper. :-/

The ambiance is tranquil! The restaurant shows strong Thai identity. Sam, our server was pleasant and didn’t make us feel rushed to pay for the meal. The food was quick and taste great! Try pad thai. Delish! Also, they also serve curry. Veggies and 85% of the dishes are spicy! Their thai tea is dead on and is full of flavor! Definitely a come back after a long stressful day.
