Take-out/delivery only. There’s no dine in at Mr. Fab’s. The pizza is fairly good. The crust has a lot of crisp without being thoroughly overdone. It has a soft interior, and the bottom crisps unlike any other pizza I’ve had. The tomato sauce is not very sweet. It is more acidic, possibly from less sugar, less time cooking, or some combination. This provides a nice edge in my opinion. Ingredients taste fresh. The service isn’t something I’ve ever had a problem with. By the looks of things, there’s one guy that runs the whole place, minus the delivery person. One time they did forget about me when I was on hold, but I can’t fault them for that. These things happen. Edit — there’s actually only two people. I saw the other person for the first time today. Double edit — no, just one guy. Other person was another delivery person that was frantically helping in the kitchen.

It’s nice to have NY style pizza in Newington. We have generally had good experiences back when this was called Gino’s. The crust is very light, tasty and thin; which is a pleasant change from the Greek style pizza places around town. My only complaint in the past was I thought the size of the pizzas left something to be desired. But since the change to Mr Fab’s, they seem to have tweaked the menu and the sizes are much more explicitly explained — 14 inch, 16 inch or 18. So there is no guesswork and the 18-incher gives you a true«large» option. Also great — I have never had to wait long for my pizza and have been pleased with the service. Overall, for an inexpensive, quick, decent(take-out only) pizza place, Mr Fab’s is a good option.

Pizza was great, not Greek style like everywhere else in the area, but New York style. Lots of fresh toppings, great crust, and the staff was very friendly. Also had a grilled buffalo chicken wrap that was delicious and only cost $ 6, hard to have any issues with that. The Mr. Fab’s special wasn’t too expensive either and was loaded with sausage, peppers, onions, and mushrooms. Yeah I’ll agree when I placed the order the guy was a bit short with me because it looked like he was doing the one man band routine there(the other person working was handling delivery orders), but once they hire more people(hopefully) I’m sure the employees won’t be stretched thin(that was a reference to pizza dough… terrible attempt at humor). Place is worth a try if you want better pizza than what the area offers. Elm hill pizza is right across the street and they’re not bad either, but they’re generic Greek style like most other places(same with Town-line down the road a little bit).

If you at all care about how customers are treated, STAYAWAY! The short of it– I called what used to be Gino’s Pizza, only to find out that they’ve closed and its now Mr Fab’s Pizza. No big deal to me! As long as its still cheese, sauce, and crust i’m good. I ordered 2 large pizza’s for delivery: 1 Large Cheese and 1 Large Specialty Pizza. $ 32 later, I was told it would arrive in 45 minutes. It arrived, but the problem was that they didn’t send the correct pizzas for one of them. My boys were having a sleepover, and half wanted Cheese Pizza and the other half got the Specialty Pizza. I called and after telling me a few times that I ordered the wrong pizzas, he said he’d swap out one of the cheese with one Specialty and it would take another 45 minutes. Doing quick math in my head, I quickly realized that the one Cheese Pizza was going to be cold by the time the correct half of the order showed up, which I explained to him. I wasn’t about to tell four children that half could either eat now, OR half would get cold Pizza while they other half ate warm fresh pizza… I explained that to «Mr Fab» and his response was that there was nothing wrong with our Cheese Pizza. He said there was no way they were going to remake 2 pizzas when there was only a problem with one of them. His phrasing was that«it wasn’t his issue to deal with.» What he failed to understand is that by not remaking the 2 pizzas fresh, we weren’t going to have a nice little dinner together. After a couple minutes of: 1st– Asking nicely 2nd– Trying to reason with him and explain the basics of good customer service and the concept of refiring a ticket in the restaurant industry if there is a problem where half the meals are wrong I finally threw in the towel and hung it out there– the dreadful ultimatum: You can either remake both pizzas fresh so I don’t have to ask half the kids to eat cold pizza, or i’m going to ask you to take them both back and issue me a refund and take my business somewhere else… and never order from there again. He chose the refund and hung up on me. I called back and asked for his driver to pick up the pizzas with a refund receit on one of their next runs out and he refused. Sooooo…having been hung up on without a clear answer on the issue of a refund, i was forced to hop in my car(pizzas in hand) and drive to «Mr Fab’s Pizza,» intent on talking to a Manager. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the same person that I had been talking to over the phone. To say that he was unprofessional was be the understatement of the year. Not only did he refuse to provide me with a voided receipt– he said i needed to «trust that they’d refund my Debit Card at the end of the night,» but he also refused to give me the Manager’s name so I could share this feedback. The short of it? STAYAWAY!!! There are too many great options for food delivery in the area and too many great small businesses that DESERVE your business… and that know how to treat a customer.
