This review is for the laundromat only. Simply put: FREE soap on weekdays. FREE wifi. Different load sizes for your needs. Friendly owners. Doing laundry here is cheaper than other places I’ve been to, which is great for a college student. Haven’t tried the café, but I probably will the next time I go.

This is a great concept. Do your laundry, get a little drunk.(Make sure you have a DD). When we went expecting food around 6PM they were pretty much out of everything. I’m not sure if this was due to the renovation, or because they primarily do lunch. Regardless, full bar, nice employees. Definitely worth checking out with friends if you’re not a fan of doing laundry.

Seriously, what in the world. This place is amazing. Wi-fi, full bar, pool tables, dart boards, tons of large washers and dryers. Honestly I have to say that doing laundry no longer sucks. I even came here when it was undergoing renovations and it looks like a mess(plus constant hammering by employees). I love this place! I want to do laundry all the time now! Industrial washers(5 loads– $ 7) worth every penny. They are upgrading to swipers and going to make their washers a little more expensive soon with FREE drying. Pretty awesome. I was able to get work done by utilizing the wi-fi and drink two IPAs in the time I was doing laundry. You rock, Spin Cycle. I’ve also heard you do regular jazz shows on Friday nights(8 – 10), concerts and art shows(pottery shows, I’ve heard of, specifically). How freaking cool is that? Come do laundry here! It won’t suck anymore!!!

Sorry, but I’ve gotta go against the grain here. Don’t get me wrong, Spin Cycle Café is an enormously clever concept. Why not have some food and a beer to soften the stress of one of mankind’s most annoying chores? Now if only they’d do the same thing at my dentist’s office… But the execution of this unique business plan is… sadly, not great. It’s pretty grody inside, and the machines are just old. When I showed up with my dirty laundry one day, I’d say a solid third of the washers were out of order. Not the most pleasant place to be on Earth for sure. If they update the place, It’ll certainly get more business, and earn more stars from yours truly.

This place is GREAT!!! Best laundromat I have ever been too. The owners really go above and beyond to keep their customers happy! Not only is this a laundromat, but it is also a café with just about a full bar appropriately located next to my alma mater, Central Connecticut State University. The Blue Point beer is awesome, with a subtle but noticeable blueberry flavor. The laundromat is always clean. They offer free powdered soap Monday through Friday. It is a tiny bit more expensive than the cheap-o sketchy laundromats, but it is definitely worth it. I used to get the chicken quesadilla while my laundry was washing and drying and it was always great! This laundromat also has a few flat screen TVs, a comfy leather couch with a large TV and DVD player. They have wifi that you can connect to, all you have to do is ask for the network key. All around the best laundromat in the state. You need to go at least once.
