Papa’s Pizza To Go

I like the staff here. They are always very nice and do not rush you when you are ordering. The prices are fair but the pizza is just ok. They don’t do much else here but Pizza so I expected more from them. An Awesome Pizza that is not what I got. I got a just ok pizza with great customer service. I would go back for the service but not the food. The restaurant in front of them Sandee’s sells a plethora of food and has better pizza. There is something wrong with that. I hope they can improve their food. They do however have one thing there amazing the Bambino bread is delicious but take it home and crack open a jar of grocery store marinara because the grocery store marinara is better than their sauce. Their sauce is to thick, sweet and not so tasty

The service is usually friendly depending on who waits on you. The pizza is just ok. The crust is amazing, the topping are great, the sauce lacks flavor and is a bit to sweet and pasty. The sauce being the heart of the pizza I would say they need to re-​evaluate it. Once they get that part of it fixed they will have a perfect pizza. Their Bambino bread is delicious when they don’t overcook it. They need to add some more parm sprinkles to it though. I would say the restaurant has a lot of potential but needs work.

We called ahead for takeout pizza. The man that answered the phone was nice and unhurried. He explained their three specials (when I asked for the specials), and I told him our order. When I told him we were driving from Boone, he adjusted the ready time. The pizza was just coming out of the oven when we walked in.
The address shows up a little off on Unilocal’s map. If you’re driving into town from Linville on Hwy 181, the pizza place is one block on the left after going through the light (not on the right).
The pizza and cheese sticks were typical. Not outstanding, but definitely not bad. Just good, ordinary pizza.

Its Pizza to go for a reason. service 1 star. Pizza… 3.5 stars. so I came in graciously at 3… The pizza was actually very tasty. I have to say for a warehouse… cheap lunch buffet mostly to-​go type place. GOOD PIE.
