Authentic Mexican restaurant located on the side of a BP Station. Friendly service & the owner made me Vegetarian fajitas when I asked him. Large portions too.

6stars. Just hope this place doesn’t slip like every restaurant that’s starts out awesome. The best Mexican food on the south side of Atlanta maybe competes with the best ever had. Just walk in and let the nice man taking your money tell you what you should get. Got enchiladas and super burrito. Chicken one steak the other, the best. Got the burrito“hot” the best thing I’ve eaten in years no bull. Came with whole Chile releno and onion bulb. Wow what effort by the cooks with the spices it was great can’t say enough

Three of us stopped here after a day of hiking at Pine Mountain on our way back to Atlanta — we chose it after seeing the Unilocal reviews. We were not disappointed! Like others, I would encourage looking past the location(gas station/convenience store). The food is super fresh and delicious. I had a chicken, a steak, and a beef tongue soft taco supreme(the last was a recommendation by the guy who took our order) — all three were amazing and stuffed with generous portions of meat and toppings(the beef tongue was really good). My fiancé and our friend had burritos — one chorizo and one beef head — and both raved about them. There’s also a complimentary fresh salsa bar. The staff was very friendly, the guy who took our order gave us great recommendations and did not rush us at all while we looked over the menu. We’re really glad we stopped — highly recommended!

The food is perfect! Had the the steak taco(supreme) and a chicken burrito. Great salsa, especially the red/spicy one; everything tastes super fresh. The burrito was a tiny bit heavy on the rice and beans, but the chicken was sooo good. This is the real deal, well worth the drive. The only thing I would change is the scary wall design. It look like a gory movie set.

Located in a gas station/conveince store don’t let the location fool you, this is Very Authentic Mexican. some of the best in town served by a very friendly staff. small dine in area. most people get it to go… very busy at lunch. but the wait is not usually too long(cooked to order food here not fastfood) my longest wait was 10 minutes. Highly recommend! !!

My husband and I return at least once a week to enjoy El Taquito’s fantastic Mexican fare. My husband spoke at length with one of the employees during our last visit, as he wanted to inquire about possibly purchasing a franchise. We learned that El Taquito originated in the Los Angeles basin and has since spread elsewhere. So, my hunch about SoCal Mexican happened to be correct. This place is the real deal! Do not let the«hole-in-the-wall at the local BP gas station» ambiance turn you away — El Taquito is well worth the trip. I am grateful that they are not closer to home because I might just develop a serious burrito problem. As for abandoning all sense of decorum — who cares! If food makes me that happy, everyone should know!
