Stopped by to get a sweet tea, girl asked at window«Would you like ice in your tea?» Really??? Then we get our tea, guess what no ice! We have to ask for a cup of ice! I know ppl have bigger issues but really, put ice in the drinks!

First, some history. Summer 2014, a man went back out to his truck, retrieved a shotgun, and explained to the Hardee’s staff his dissatisfaction with how slow the service was. The universal reaction of an entire city of 35,000 people was amusement and ‚“Yeah, they are slow.” The reputation, and the reason for it, have not disappeared. However, if you have some extra time, the food is good. I got the Fiesta Meal, which seems to be a Red Burrito combo. Two Tacos, a small supreme nachos, and a drink for $ 4.49. I expected a tiny meal, added another taco, and paid my 6 bucks after tax. What came to the table was a dinner plate, three huge sized tacos, and nachos 3 inches deep. The tacos were much larger than those you get at another local taco chain, and tasted very good… much like the tacos I ate as a child at … the other taco chain. The Nachos were smothered in Beans, Beef, Nacho Cheese, Sour Cream, and actual, real pickled jalapeño slices. And unlike the other, they serve it with Coca Cola.

I do admit that there is usually a wait for the food here but I still can’t help but visit. I just love the food so much. It’s always good and the employees are always very nice to me. When there is a wait, they always apologize. But I have to say I feel like it is worth the wait because I know that means my food is going to be fresh and hot.

Slow as molasses! Drive through is given great priority over walk ins. Help is busier with useless chit chat to each other.

There used to be 3 Hardee’s in Newnan, and the largest/busiest one closed(I-85 and Hwy. 34), so that’s why Unilocal calls this one Hardee’s # 3. I was at the downtown Newnan library and wanted lunch, and Hardee’s was ¼ mile anyway, so I made my once-per-year visit to Hardee’s. Only 5 people inside, so ordering took less than 30 sec. I got a Hot Ham & Cheese sandwich, and went for the upgrade to sweet potato fries, and medium iced tea. They bring the food to your table(who would’ve thought that?). Food came in about 4 minutes, and the S.P. fries were awesome, the sandwich was very good, was hot, and the ham and cheese went well together, had a good taste. They almost got a 5, cause this was a very good experience. Downside — 19 tables in the place, 2 occupied with people, and 5 tables were dirty. I was at a clean table, it just had no napkins in the table-top napkin dispenser. Good value, though, at $ 6.29 for sandwich with Med. S.P. fries and Med. drink.
