This small library is beautiful. It’s ceiling lights are stunning art deco lamps, the doors are made of light colored wood, the display cases are filled with historical relics and there’s tasteful art on the walls including a portrait of Chief MacIntosh. There are only a small selection of books, public computers and about five desks to use for study, but I’ve found it to be quiet and suitable for me. They also have Newnan souvenirs for sale and free WiFi.

The Carnegie Library in Newnan is a fabulous resource but their website is very inadequate regarding relevant information. Does not clarifity that they are very restrictive and exclusive about what sorts of donations they accept. I drove forty miles one way, including dealing with a half hour traffic tie-up thanks to road construction just to bring some very prized items to this library, only for the clerk on duty to point out they only wanted items with a copyright of 2012 or newer. Website is not as useful as it could be. Where is the section for donations guidelines, not just a Wish List. SHOULDBEONTHEWEBSITE.
