Bliss Fine Florals

So a bit of background… I always buy flowers for my wife on special occasions. In previous years when she worked in LA I always went through Sonny Alexander. For me, when you find a quality place you stick with it. I haven’t been able to find an equivalent here in Newport Beach. When I called Bliss Fine Florals I spoke to Betti. I explained I wanted to get flowers for my wife’s birthday and have them delivered to a hospital where she worked. Betti was very friendly and assured me that I would be happy with her arrangement. I also requested a receipt for my purchase through email. Betti assured me that one would be sent.
I agreed to spend approximately $ 100 – 120, but more importantly I said that I wanted the arrangement to look good. When my wife received the arrangement I got a picture of the flowers. Needless to say, I was not impressed. I think that Betti misunderstood that the flowers were for my wife who WORKS at a hospital, not a PATIENT at the hospital. The arrangement was crammed together and was no higher than 10 inches high (yes I measured it). Is this something that you would like to receive as a birthday present? I am a person who just wants to feel like their money was well spent. I honestly feel that I could have bought 2 dozen roses at Costco and made them look better than the arrangement my wife received for less than half the price.
Looking at their reviews I’m sure that they probably do a good job for weddings or larger events. However, in my eyes they fell well short of satisfactory.
Oh and by the way… I’m still waiting for my receipt to be emailed.

Betti is the best. Went looking for a flower shop in the Lido area. Rainy day and nothing was open. Went to Unilocal to find another flower shop and just happened to call Betti. She was out on a delivery and said she would be back in 20 minutes. She called me back and I headed over. Upon arriving she had a neat little shop. She asked what I was looking for. I just needed a heart warming bouquet of flowers in a vase. She said she would get right on it and that’s I would love the arrangement. I had to leave and asked her to send me a picture on my phone. She did and I was truly amazed. For not seeing and sample… I was totally blown away.

I had a small intimate winter wedding at Il Cielo in Beverly Hills. Bliss Fine Florals did the flowers. Betti listened to what I wanted and added a few extra touches I never thought of. It was the most beautiful and romantic setting. She helped make it the most perfect day. Two years after my wedding I was sitting in a salon and picked up Beverly Hills magazine only to have our wedding and Betti’s flowers featured under the section of «intimate weddings.» Whomever picks her to do her special occasion, will be incredibly happy with the results.

We hosted a bridal shower today for one of our co-​workers (at GRIT Cycle) and one of the hostesses got the flowers from Bliss. They were fabulous! Super fresh, lovely and beautiful. Can’t say enough about the design and quality!!!

Betty is an incredible creative artist. She made my vision come to life. I think I heard from every person at the wedding that our flowers were hands down the prettist they had ever seen. Betty didn’t miss a detail. Thank you Betty for making our dreams come true! I would highly recommend you to anyone and everyone. I am sure we are going to make it in a few magazines!

I love beautiful, creative designs in any subject matter: décor, floral, apparel, architecture, just anything visually but tastefully out of the ordinary. I gave my husband the business card for Bliss and just told him that if he ever wants to give me flowers, please oh please shop here! He has followed my instructions and calls them for Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, our anniversary or any other meaningful event in our lives. Every arrangement I have received has been exquisitely unique and gorgeous. There is always some special touch, whether it’s the beautiful ribbon or burlap wrap on the vase, a touch of fruit, a swarovski crystal imbeded in a flower. a seashell in the color of the floral palette. I am just usually stunned by the creativity and quality of the arrangements. This Valentine’s day did not disappoint. Yes, there were red roses but there were also lilacs, tulips and other flowers that made it a Valentine floral but one amped up to a new level. Love this place.

I called ahead to order a bouquet as part of my proposal plans to my girlfriend. They were very accommodating and helpful. They even offered to walk to another business on Balboa Island to deliver them ahead of time for me because they are closed on weekends. I asked for a beach themed bouquet with pink accent. They gave me exactly what I asked for and the flowers were beautiful. The flowers laster over a week and were well worth the money!
