I’m surprised a store like this exists at Fashion Island.
The shoes are trendy and stylish but the quality and price is cheap. My daughter was able to find a pair of shoes to coordinate with her beautiful homecoming dress that she found at Urban Outfitters.
For $ 60 and a one time wear, this store is A-​OK with me: P

Horrible return policy!!! Horrible customer service!!! I recently purchased boots from Cathy Jean Shoes online, and they did not fit right. I took them to the store to be returned that evening. The employees at the store told me that they will not return my shoes at store (can only exchange — but the exchange will be considered FINAL SALE) and that I have to return them via mail. I’ve tried contacting Cathy Jean to get them to give me a shipping label, however, they don’t respond to phone calls. I will never buy online from them again. Some advice — wait for Nordstrom to have a sale, and buy a better made shoe for the same price from a place with better customer service. Don’t buy CATHY JEAN!

The customer service is horrible. I never get greeted even when I’m the only one in store. I would even hold a shoe for a while just to see if I would get greeted, and nothing.
The shoes are poorly made; very cheap! The scratch up after the first use and year apart quickly after.
Their return policy is even worse. Everything is basically a final sale. You can only do exchanges up to a certain amount of time, I believe two weeks, but you can never get a refund. After a certain amount of days they no longer are any help to you with any problems or concerns you have with the shoes (not like they were helpful to begin with). Even if you talk to the manager or contact customer service, you are s*** out of luck because they are absolutely no help either or you don’t receive any response to any emails or messages you leave.
If I could give no stars, I would.

I was window shopping at Fashion Island Mall when I spotted a pair of super cute combat boots at this shop! First time at Cathy Jean! They have really cute styles and plenty of sizes in stock. The prices are decent for shopping at the mall — cheaper than department stores like Macys but more expensive than Forever 21. I feel like the prices are only worth it if you buy the shoe on sale.
The customer service is decent, pick your shoe and pay, nothing to rave or complain about. Though there is one thing I did not like. I do not like Cathy Jean’s business practice and here’s why. Most of the shoes in the store were on sale and all shoes on sale are non-​refundable. This gives me the impression that Cathy Jean severely inflates their prices and then markets them as «on sale» so that customers cannot return the shoes. I feel that this is a very decietful practice and just a bad return policy. Since this is part of the company’s policies and not of the store, my rating does not reflect it. I’d still come back for the cute shoes!
TIP: If your shoe is on sale, make sure you LOVE it and check it/​try it before you buy because discounted shoes are non-​refundable! HAPPY SHOE SHOPPING!

I agree with everyone who said the costumer service was shitty. they were all very rude and unhelpful.
ALSO Christmas 2011 I was there buying some shoes… and one of the employes stole my phone. when we asked to check the boxes to see if I left it in one of them they refused, we also asked to turn down the music so I would be able to hear the alarm when I set it off and they also refused. later I got a message on FB from her friend who told me who had stolen it, so we reported it to the cops and unfortunately never got it back.
so watch your purses and phones!!!

This is the location in Fashion Island. Cathy Jean has really cute styles all the time. They have cute sandal to pumps to boots. Check out the store from time to time and you might get lucky and find a pair of shoes that you love for 50% off! It has happened to me a couple of time :) They have pretty good inventory at hand too, I can always seem to find my size in stock on sale.
I’m not sure why the other review are so awful. This store is in Fashion Island, how bad can it be right? The customer service must be hit or miss I guess. Most of the SA that helped me have been nice and pleasant though.

This corporation is not customer service oriented! They are out to get your money buy selling you CHEAP shoes! I received a pair of shoes as a gift. Unfortunately the shoes were too small. So, instead of returning the shoes to the original store, I went to a different one closer to my work. I provided a gift receipt and the cashier was unable to pull the transaction up in their system. The cashier attempted to make contact with the District Manager numerous times to determine what she should do. The District Manager never returned her calls/​texts. The store manager of the store I was in (her name is Anaccini & she’s very nice & helpful) contacted the store the shoes were purchased from in order to determine what the price at the time of purchase was. The original store took a long time to find the orignial receipt and was then running into problems in faxing the receipt, faxing the wrong receipt, and the toner running out. Over one hour later, the receipt arrived. Due to Cathy Jean’s TERRIBLE store policies, I not only was unable to return a pair of shoes I have never worn and do not fit me, but I could not even exchange them because they were considered a «final sale.» Upon asking for the District Managers phone number, I was told that they are unable to give out this information. This establishment is a JOKE! The quality of the shoes is apparent but the quality of their customer service is even more ridiculous. I intend to write an email to the company but do not expect a response. I encourage you not to shop at any of these Cathy Jean stores & will encourage everyone I know not to either. Steve Madden, Charles David, & Aldo are definitely a better bet if you’re looking to buy trendy cute shoes. You pay for what you get. I felt very sorry for the customers who made purchases as I waited today. I hope that Myrna & Anaccini find better jobs where they won’t have to work for companies who are too cheap to purchase a phone line and use the fax for all store calls. TACKY! If anyone is looking for a sales manager & sales girl with FANTASTIC customer service, & huge potential, go take them from Cathy Jean. They deserve better!

For such a small store their sales people were really unpleasant and bitchy. I think it was the manager too. Just always frowning and never smiled once. I don’t spend my money to be treated like a nuisance.
