The staff is always friendly and helpful and they make everything easy. I revert Ly returned some stuff that was defective and they made it super easy. Although the store is a fraction of the size of a Home Depot or Lowe’s, they seem to have everything that I need so I don’t have to trek to a supercenter.

There is absolutely no warranty on any items purchased from this Crown Ace Hardware store which is managed by Jim. You are much better off purchasing your items at any other location (Corona Del Mar, Costa Mesa, Tustin, San Juan Capistrano,). THIS PARTICULAR STORE IS BUYER BEWARE no refunds or exchanges for defective items even on the date of purchase.

I went to the store today with my 6 year old son who wanted to build a wood crate. Nathan was incredibly nice and helpful. He worked with both of us to find the best wood and get the right tools to complete the job.
I don’t usually write reviews but wanted to write to say thank you to the manager and Nathan. For both big and small projects the advice, ideas and support the employees provide is wonderful. I’ve been going to this store for years and the service is consistently great.

Walked in today with the top piece of my brand new nightstand from ikea. All I needed was to pit some holes in the bottom of the board to mount it. A nice lady named Terry helped me she was very friendly and knew a few tricks here the there. This Ace Hardware store has a very friendly vibe with all the employees and always satisfies my needs. 100% recommend!

Today I asked for help to make my own rolling pin from PVC pipes and connectors so that my sugar cookies would all turn out evenly baked. I got the BEST sevice, including lots of time, perseverence, and a final product that I am very anxious to try. Thanks so much Charles and Austin!

The people who work here are so nice and helpful, always helping me with my questions. Yes, their prices are somewhat more than the big stores, but I am sure their rents are much higher too, especially at this location and on PCH, so you can’t blame a business for needing to survive.

Jonny and the staff at the San Miguel Ace in Newport Beach are phenomenal! I have going there for years, and everyone has always been super helpful and friendly, but this story beats all: I picked up a patio heater on July 3 for a 4th of July BBQ. We did not start putting it together until the 4th (of course), and my husband just could not get it to work. I called up to Ace (happy you guys were open) and Jonny spent several minutes on the phone with us. Next thing we knew, he came over to our house, helped us troubleshoot, and then my husband went back to swap out a piece. Everything worked and we had the heater we needed for our BBQ. Jonny was so kind, we could tell how much he really cared, and I have sworn to tell everyone I know in Newport how blown away we were! THANKS SO MUCH!

This is one of the better equiped Ace Hardware that I have been to, and it has a real friendly staff.
What I like about Ace is that they have BBQ, cooking, cleaning, and other stuff in an organized manner. They also have a great fastener (screw, bolts, springs, etc.)selection. Further, you dont have to buy the big packs, like Home Depot.
Support your local hardware store, and save gas.

I’ll be brief with this review because I have no complaints at all. Overall, this location has great customer service but limited selection. And, yes, it may be a tad more pricey than Home Depot or Lowe’s. However, pay no mind to the price as there is always a customer service at the door or in the aisle to help you regardless of your need. That type of service is worth the money to me.
I’m glad this store has been open for as long as it has. This location is ideal for the home owner that needs to purchase that small, specific tool or paint finish for their quick DIY project.

This location is located in a quaint little plaza in Newport. The store is pretty small so don’t expect a Home Depot when you walk in. Even though it’s a small store it’s loaded with everything you need to fix the kitchen sink or to get rid of the algae in your water fountain. I guess I’m really good at managing to look confused at one of these stores because a lot of people asked if I needed help. Everyone was very friendly and willing to help. Ace is a bit pricier than the regular Home Depot but it’s convenient for Newport especially when all you really need to buy is a screw or soil.

I love this place… it is almost like I live back home in the south where people are friendly. It’s really a small town hardware store where they actually help you and are pleasant. Just watch out for the nesting birds in the summer [they are protected by the state but plenty of signs warn you]…it’s sort of a cute quirk.
Plus, you get $ 5 coupons all the time and they never expire even though they should.
