Dr Forman came highly recommended by several friends who see her, so I had no problem waiting a bit to get an appointment. They just opened a brand new office, called the Derm Studio and it is beautiful! I was seen by Dr Lazarro, who has got to be the most patient, kind Doctor I have ever seen. I had a horrible experience with another Dermatologist last year and I was terribly apprehensive to be seen again, but I have to take care of my fair, cancer prone skin. Dr Lazarro did an extremely thorough skin check, and then went over the best plan of action with me that made sense given that I have a 3 month old to take care of. She scraped one spot and I can’t even feel it several hours later. She was patient with my newborn fussing and needing to be held, and even offered me an early morning appointment so I could squeeze in one more procedure before my deductible resets for the year. I felt that she did an excellent job listening to my concerns and giving me options, rather than just slicing me up.
Super thrilled to have found them!

I had to sit and think about it and then remembered that I was referred to the incredibly fabulous Dr. Kristen Forman by my former Nordy’s Spa facialist, Danielle.
I’ve been with Dr. Forman for several years now, but after freeing myself from behind the Orange Curtain, I still drive down from Santa Monica to visit her… and when I have the house on Lake Como, I’ll still fly over to visit her. I’m her Black Widow, baby. She cannot get rid of me.
Seriously, though. It’s one thing to have a doctor who totally gets it on the cool level, but add to that her stellar bedside manner, honest approach (in a plastic SoCal world) and snobby-​without-​being-​snobby training, which includes both UCLA and USC, and you will NOT find anyone who compares. Oh, and she’s smokin’ hot. I know, I know, that may sound terrible to some people (sorry, bell hooks), but I have to say it: Dr. Forman has all the boxes ticked.
The office manager, Judy, is also a delight, as are the receptionists. And Marina, the laser tech is equally superb. (The pages of Vogue always list laser prices at «$ 1,200 per session, three sessions needed.» So not true!)
Thank the goddess above I’m grandfathered in; if you’re a prospective client reading this, it may be a bit harder to snag an appointment but if I were you, I’d pursue it. Pay somebody off. Do what you can to get your foot in the door to this place. And then you can thank me later.
Botox Levels More Than Wrinkles

«As further evidence of the reverse linkage between facial muscles and emotions, Botox injections have been shown to dampen emotional responses. These injections paralyze small, wrinkle-​causing muscles around the eyes. That makes the face look smoother, but it also smooths out emotions to a small extent. Scientists report both a reduction in depression symptoms as well as weaker reactions to „happy“ video clips. This effect doesn’t appear to be enormous — Botox won’t turn people into walking automatons. But, a variety of research shows a measurable effect on one’s emotional experience.»

She is very patient and knowledgable. She explains things clearly.

She was a recommend from a friend and I am very glad I found her.
She did a complete skin review and asked to remove a few skin moles and do checks on them.
With her background she is very knowledgeable about which things to look for and better to be safe than sorry, I am happy to say that none of my skin scares were bad, I am lucky to be okay but I’m going to see her every year since I live in California and if you are in the sun at all, you should too.

Only good things to say about Dr. Forman. She diagnosed me with stage 0 melanoma, and I have never felt in better hands. She is personable and thorough. She knows her stuff, and explains everything she sees/​finds. I feel very comfortable every time I walk into her office, and will NEVER ever switch my derm. she’s the best out there!
