Delicious roast beef sandwich, Boar’s Head lunchmeats, gluten free options, good selection of snacks, drinks, and ice cream novelties. The only reason it’s not 5 star is that speed is not their strong suit

First time here and it was fantastic! My husband and I were visiting from Jersey and this place gave us a nice taste of home. Sandwiches were great we both got the Italiano (next time I will be trying a hot one). The staff was unbelievably friendly and personable we felt as though we were treated as regulars and not tourists from the east coast. This place is a must go when in the area!

First time here! The staff was so friendly and I just love how cute the market is. They have everything you need and all the things didn’t know you needed. The deli is also great, we got some of the homemade sides and Philly cheesesteak sandwich. It was awesome! So happy this place moved in down the street!

Updating the review because of the deli! The market has always been so convenient and easy to get to for last minute snacks and booze… and the friendly owners and staff really make u feel welcome all the time.
Now, an amazing sandwich to start my day is just a phone call away.
Chicken parm is so juicy and tender… what a flavorful sub. Turkey sub is light but tasty too from the peppers and burrata… trying to make my way through all the subs!

Super nice staff and delicious food. Had the Philly Cheesesteak and it was a great choice. Tasted really fresh. Highly recommended :) Good choice of chips and a cooler full of drinks available to buy with the sandwich. Loved sitting at the little table in front of the deli, great local atmosphere. I can’t wait to come back soon!

A little new Gem with a small market and deli inside. We got a kale salad and a sandwich and I was impressed how fresh and good it tasted the owner also owns the spot a few stores down called My Gallery which is a great breakfast spot. Very friendly owner and staff, so we will definitely be back soon.

Hot and Cold sandwiches made to order. All 8″ served on fresh French baguettes. Go to the back of Lombardy’s to place your order and chat with the amazing deli staff then pay at the front counter. Plenty of sides and drinks to add to your sandwich if you like. I’ve had the Chicken Parmesan, Turkey, & Italian sandwiches so far (all great) and I highly recommend both the Chicken Parmesan (if you’re in the mood for a hot sandwich) and the Turkey (from cold sandwiches).

Had the Italian hoagie, pasta salad and kale and quinoa salad. Everything was delicious. They definitely do not skimp on the meat.

Best Italian style sub in town. Mortadella, ham, salami, razor thin onions, thick provolone and great dressing. My new favorite !

Just finished having lunch at Lombardy’s and could not write this review fast enough. This high end market/​deli is incredibly well done: organized, clean, welcoming, convenient, with only the best products. This is one of those markets that you can count on to have what you need, and only the best quality. The buyer for this place does an incredible job, you could easily stop by Lombardy’s on your way to a party or gathering and grab a good bottle of wine and something tasty to share. For lunch, we enjoyed the prosciutto sandwich, the roast beef sandwich, and the kale/​quinoa salad — all very fresh and tasty! For their sandwiches, they use bread from C’est Si Bön Bakery, which as locals know, is the best! The owner, Julia, came over and introduced herself, which I thought was kind and intentional and impressive. They also have a 30 minute parking curb in front of their store that can easily fit 5 cars, a plus for any establishment located on the peninsula! Now hurry on over to Lombardy’s to grab whatever you need for the rest of your weekend!

Was driving thru, saw the market/​deli cruised in for a bite… Bought my MOM A Turkey sandwich, and myself an Italian combo… We also purchased a medium side of Potato salad, and a another side of chicken, broccoli, and rice stuff…
Each of the sandwiches where made with time, super fresh ingredients, and loaded with flavor…
The turkey sandwich had white cheese, greens, and roasted peppers that stole the show… The potato salad was unique in it’s flavor, tiny bits of bacon, and a perfect amount of crunchy texture… The other side was my favorite– not sure what it was called, but I crushed the whole thing in one sitting (my MOM was doing the same to the potato salad) —
All in all, it was a nice time, great food, friendly staff… I will FOR SURES be headed back for more tasty sandwiches and yummy sides…
Also, the beverage I had was a sweet soda in a crazy shaped popping-​bottle… Not all acidy, but very smooth and nice taste– When I popped the bottle, watching my MOM jump itself, was worth the price of lunch…
The owner guy, he genuinely seemed to care about US, came out, asked how things were, chatted and that was a nice touch… Top notch, all around–

Makes THE BEST subs around! If you haven’t been here already then roll on over. Before you head to the beach COME HERE! Besides their amazing deli, they got everything else too, all the essentials.
Just gotta give a shout-​out to J and Cook and the rest of the guys behind the counter, they’re so chill and down to earth it makes the whole experience a blast. Love it!

Best market and Deli on the peninsula!!! Great atmosphere, quaint with a lot to offer – there’s really no where like it around. Get a fresh sandwich, a cool beverage, and a bag o’ chips and you’re ready for the beach!!! Also, the staff is super friendly and helpful!!!

GO HERE. GO TO THE DELI! Tried the italian sub yesterday and just had the chicken parmesan. Both were phenomenal! I’m actually confident saying that it’s my favorite hot sandwich ever. I’m serious. Frank and Julia are awesome and it’s so nice to have a place that is all about quality and customer satisfaction! Do yourself a favor and GO GET THE CHICKEN PARM!

One stop shop! You get everything you need for breakfast lunch and dinner! The meat ball sub is one of the best I’ve had.

They just opened their deli yesterday and have some bomb food with a good beer and wine selection to go with

Great prices on the essentials: milk, eggs, etc.
I think they may be better than the «big guy» grocers– but far more convenient.
Awesome staff, very helpful. I feel like I have a personal shopper when I go there because of their helpfulness.
I am exceptionally happy to have a local grocery store back on the Balboa side of the peninsula!
