I do like the tanks they have and they are having a great sale but of coarse the one I liked wasn’t on sale. The customer service seriously sucked this time I went in. I understand one of them was in training. I walked around the store and never got a hi or how are you and it was pulling to teeth to get help. One thing I hate shopping in this area is that people are stuck up. They need to be more friendly and helpful. I think I will get a lot of use out of my top though. Won’t be coming back though. :(

I am a pretend athlete, perhaps like many of you. I attempt hiking, SUP, gym antics and skating among others. But even while pretending — comfortable, good looking, functional clothes are a must. At Lucy, I like their pants. They have a few styles that are a little like compression shorts, that are great for beach walking, gym antics or sofa yoga(if you know what I mean). Service is always very, very helpful. The one thing I don’t like is the retail price so I generally buy on sale. On my last visit, I picked up a new pair of long pants that were 40% off. Love it! In terms of quality, everything I’ve ever purchased has worn very, very, very well.

My absolute favorite place to buy workout clothes for yoga and zumba. WALKABOUTPANT Best thing here. Don’t change it please! The pants are perfect for traveling. I wore them non stop hiking, climbing, and walking through southeast asia and europe. They work in all weathers, and dry super fast. WORKOUTTOPS The compressors are my favorite. Can’t work out without them now. I wish tehy had compressor pants too. SWEATERS So warm and fluffy. The styling and fit also look amazing on you. TRAVELCLOTHES I love their explore section. They fit better than the clothes at REI in my opinion, and I like that they dry so fast, particularly the walkabout pant II.

I’ve stopped in at this CDM Lucy’s several times and have only ever gotten 2 things total. Both of which I think are great! A headband with the non-slip grip, skinnier at the base and wider at the top, and a basic black workout top on sale. Lucy just seems to fail at having serious workout clothes that function as well as Lululemon, nor cute enough for basic streetwear for the under 40 set. Agreed with other reviewers, the salespeople can be overly aggressive. Though, now I am upset that I was never told the email address was for sending us coupons! The fashion and fits never seem as nice as my Lulu stuff, though they do have a couple of nice tops every season. The fabric doesn’t seem as technical as my Lulu and Nike pieces, nor does it seem to hold up as well. The PLUS for Lucy is their SALES! Obviously, their sales are a big hit. Though smaller sizes can be out of luck at the CDM location most of the time, I was able to score a cute black tank for $ 20! Can’t remember the last time that happened at Lulu. Overall, I would never make a special trip just to visit Lucy’s but will always check in if I’m at this plaza, just in case.

I have a love-hate relationship with Lucy. I love the prices but I just hate the clothes. So far, from Lucy, I’ve gotten several high-end yoga equipment items at prices that are cheaper than anything I’ve seen on eBay or at another retailer. Specifically, I got a Manduka Eko on sale for $ 50 and these super cushy mats normally retail for ~$ 70. In addition, they had Yogitoes towels for $ 40 on sales and everyone else that carries them has it for ~$ 55. I also got a Lucy yoga mat strap for $ 5.99 which is a total deal! The regular prices for everything is on par with other high end retailers but when it goes on discount, it is an excellent deal. Further, the sales racks have much more product than at Lululemon and that’s a plus. At this location, the sales associates are very friendly but a teeny bit pushy when it comes to sales. I think maybe they get a lot of people who aren’t familiar with Lucy so maybe that’s why they’re enthusiastically pushing to try everything. I did try on a couple tops in various sizes but the fit just wasn’t there and the material didn’t feel like a significant improvement over a place like Old Navy. Even my fiancé, who came with me, saw the mannequins and wasn’t as impressed as he was at Lululemon.

I Love Lucy — I usually don’t buy their work-out wear. I buy their fashion line. So comfy. Fits well. I’m tall but my petite friends shop with me and sometimes we buy the same items.(different sizes obviously.) The key to Lucy is coupons. You MUST get on their mailing list and monthly you’ll get 20% off or 50% off one item or some other great coupon that brings down your total. I would never pay their retail prices. The other key is the sale rack in the back. They clear their merch quickly so if it doesn’t sell it moves to the sale rack w/in a week or two. I got a running skirt for $ 5. Love it!(Note to self — need to start running again.) This rack is where you find the deals on work-out wear.

Why does Lucy just get 3 stars from me? And even though I actually own two wonderful pairs of pants from them? Lucy definitely appeals to a certain clientele, as one reviewer has written, but it’s not quite as narrow as she wrote, I don’t think. In the many times I’ve browsed their racks, I’ve found that the majority of their clothes seem to be destined for the street rather than the studio, track, gym, what have you. The shirts tend to have a lot of embellishments or earthy sketches, and the pants are usually, though not always, intended to be cross-over pants — they go from gym to street really well. That being said, I have two pairs of legging-style yoga pants from them that I love — they fit perfectly and do exactly what I want them to do. Even better, I got them on their often resplendent sale racks — definitely go there first, skipping over the $ 60 T-shirts. In addition to the pants, I have a great yoga tank and sports bra — all on sale. The staff, I’ve found, is cheery and helpful. And, unlike Lululemmon, you don’t feel as though you’ve been caught up in some brand-name fad — they’re much more understated. So, if you’re looking for some unassuming items on sale, definitely give them a shot.

I really like Lucy clothes with a few caveats. They have casual clothes that are perfect for my stay at home mom life. I LOVE the Lucy Flex fabrix. A great, stretchy lightweight fabric. You can wear long Lucy Flex pants on a 100 degree day and not feel hot. For the gym, I much prefer Lululemon. The Lucy workout stuff does not hold up to heavy use. It bags, it unravels, the straps break, it takes forever to hang dry. Avoid the workout stuff. Be careful to wash Lucy on the handwash or delicate cycle and hang dry because their stuff won’t hold up under punishment. I don’t mind so much because I only buy their stuff off the sale rack. Make sure to get on their mailing list for the coupons.

I occasionally shop at Lucy in CDM. I am not a big fan of their t-shirts but yoga /pilates inspired tanks and tunics are cute! Personally, I wear simple tanks and capri for pilates but I would wear Lucy’s clothes for just hanging out /running errands.

I am teaching many fitness classes now and I am always on the search for cool workout gear. I go thru 2 – 3 outfits a day. I work out hard and sweat… alot! Lucy is in the same shopping center as Bristol Farms and Sprinkles Cupcakes. It has been there a couple of years and I never find anything in there!!! I hate to be mean but this is who would shop there… New to fitness? Need something comfy that will hide the spare tire that you swore you would get rid of last New Years? Do you like muted tones like mauve and mossy green? Do you feel more«comfy» in longer pants and a matching sweatshirt tied around the waist? Do you like to wear t’shirts that say«Got Kids»? The come shop at LUCY!!! Seriously, if you are fit, hard core athletic type, the only thing you will find here are cool yoga, mats and some socks. Maybe if you huge breasts you will like the collection of sports bras. Me? I’ll stick with Nike and LuluLemon. See you at the gym!
