The coffee is great! My boyfriend had a fruit tart and said it was amazing! This place is clean, cute and authentic. If I lived in the area I’d be a regular!

Great place! It felt like I was in Europe! The menu was just like Europe and oh my goodness those lattes are just like Europe!!! The food was delicious, and I love the French spoken inside. I wish that they came out and served you In the courtyard! This would make this place absolutely perfection :)

To start the host(or owner) was a delightful gentleman who made everyone feel welcome. Then he directed us to the food areas to choose your favorite breakfast. Many delicious dishes to choose from. A friendly and relaxing venue with good and reasonably priced food.

Our newest fav. In Newport. We find the food outstanding. The personnel charming and eager to please. The prices are fair for the quality given. We have taken 5 different couples and all have raved. A truly french experience without the travel hassle. Still our favorite go to place. Breakfast with the grandkids a special delight. I wish them extra good luck in the second one in Laguna.

This is a cute Parisian café with actual French speaking customers and workers. Been here for lunch as well as Tuesday dinner. Their baguette sandwiches are delicious especially the jambon beurre but pricey almost $ 10 and only comes a la carte. Their Tuesday 3 course $ 29 fixe prix dinner is worth trying at least once. They have a rotating menu. When we went first course was a pâté salad. The pâté was generous and really tasty with the bread that was included with the meal. Main course was a beef bourguignon served over pasta which wasn’t bad. And my favorite was the chocolate fondant for dessert. Baked through on the edges with a soft center served with vanilla ice cream on top. Make sure you make a reservation for dinner. Seating is limited.

WEEWEEPAREE! Yes, I’ve been to Paris, and yes, this place does an awesome job of bringing me back there … on a nice afternoon, sitting out and having a bite, overlooking the Seine river! Moulin doesn’t have a river but there is a nice, little fountain outside. Everything is super yummy! Love that there are endless options from the fresh, colorful array of bites, calling out your name via counter display to the scrumptious menu items, waiting to be ordered. Not to mention the other delicious items in the little market ready to be taken off the shelves and home with you! Whichever your pleasure, there’s always a friendly, helpful person with a smile, ready to take your order. So be it a quick lunch or hours of casual wine sipping and grubbing, this is the perfect spot! Merci, Moulin!!! See ya soon!

Pastry specific review! So we just found our eclairs! We have been unsuccessfully trying to find good eclairs until now. We had a chocolate éclair. The inside is a dark chocolate mousse that pulls back on sweetness with a slight bitter note in a perfect way. The pastry is light and clean in texture; it isn’t soggy or chewy like many tend to be. This is pretty far for us, but we will definitely be back!

Absolutely love this spot. The bakery is on point as well as the food items. I’ve been here for lunch a few times. My favorite thing to do is get a few salads that they charge by weight and a sandwich. The best thing I have gotten here is the Le Croque Monsieur. It is a must try. Also, don’t forget to get a few macaroons. Customer service is good, they do tend to get busy. Will continue coming back.

A true French gem — the setup and décor of this place is reminds me of a patisserie in Paris. They serve food through the day and has a good selection of French baked goods. Interspersed is a selection of grocery and cheese. We ordered a crêpe and an eggs benedict. Food was good-nothing pretentious but yummy food. We were able to order the food in French added to the ambiance ! The baked goods were good — we ordered the chocolate éclair, pain raisin n chocolat, and a bunch of Madeleine. All good stuff.

What a beautiful space! You really are transported back to Paris for a moment, the set up is fantastic with an area for meats and cheeses, meals and a bakery section, everything looked and smelled amazing, I wanted it all! It gets very full here for breakfast and lunch so I only purchased an baguette shaped apple turnover and it was heaven! The croissant dough perfection, baked perfectly, it was everything! It is so hard to get good french pastries here and Moulin really nails it, while a bit pricey, I cannot wait to return for more! Service was great as well, very informative and helpful.

Cute little French Café. Perfect for morning breakfast. The chocolate with coffee is a nice touch. Moulin has been on my bookmark list for a while. Happened to be in the area this morning and decided to try it out. The pastries display was located at the back of the store. Silly me has to ask where the pastries were because all I saw as I entered was CHEESE in the display case. *drooling already*. Cheese, I meant lots of cheeses, for breakfast is not the most common. So next time. :) Went straight to the pastries display as soon as I found out where it was. Lots to choose from on this Sunday @9:00a. I wanted everything! Hubby had his eyes on the palmier already and I was taking forever to decide. The situation was resolved when I saw the mini pastries so I got 4 of them! $ 5 for a palmier sounded a little pricy but I was willing to pay for exceptional food! Self serve unlimited coffee refill is also a plus. The palmier was exceptional. The mini croissant for $ 1.50 was a little dry. I will not be greedy next time and just order a regular croissant or pastry next time. I have a feeling that their regular croissant is fluffy and moist. The dryness could be due to the small size. Also can’t wait to try the $ 293-courses prefix menu on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Looks like a great deal!

I am a very happy camper, this place is everything I have been looking for. Ever since I visited Paris I searched for somewhere local that made the french eclairs I missed, entirely different from our American eclairs which are not bad but the french version is so much yummier to me. They also have a variety of other desserts that will blow your mind. There is a small section of groceries you can purchase and if you love European candy this is a great place to pick some up. On to the deli section, first thing that attracts me is the cheese so I went with a charcuterie and it was amazing. I can sit here for hours because it’s so inviting but I won’t because on a Sunday seating is tight and with good reason… ahhh until next time

Jesus can only be responsible for the food here. The last two. wait, three things I’ve eaten here are heavenly. This restaurant should teach lessons on QUALITY because they’re damn good at it. — Le Croque-Monsieur: White cheese(s), bread and ham. The side salad went well as it makes you feel less guilty for the calories consumed of the cheese-broiled sandwich. — Hazelnut Chocolate Tart(?): Silky and crunchy textures in one with good flavors throughout. — Ham & butter sandwich: This is where Jesus comes in. Fresh baguette, the most thinly sliced ham, cold and creamy butter and fresh butter lettuce. Extras: Nice staff and well motivated, good prices, okay location, decent coffee. Tip: If you go during the day, their pre-made options are plentiful. Showed up at 5pm and the display was empty. The manager recommended the croquet-monsieur as it’s one of the very few items made for you on the spot. Was happy about it! Definitely recommended for all times of the day.

Je suis amoureuse.(I took 4 years of French and I still had to google how to say«I’m in love») Walking in, we were greeted by the owner in French. So cool! In the front, there is food displaying from cheese, croissants, sandwiches, desserts, etc. We decided to order some sides to start. We ordered the carrot salad, beets, lentils, quinoa, potato salad, mashed potatoes, zucchini gratin. My favorites were the mashed potatoes and potato salad! So good! We also ordered individual plates: Le Croque Madame 11 Croque Monsieur with a sunny side egg on top Love! They know how to make a mean croque madame. I think the sandwich is good by itself, but top it off with an egg and I’m instantly sold! Le Poulet Frites/Pommes Rustique avec Salade 15 Half roasted chicken with French fries or roasted potatoes, green salad The chicken was seasoned deliciously and their french fries came out hot and salty. Yum! I love the live french music, the French snacks and desserts next door, and the ambience. Vive La France!

Came here for brunch with the family. I first noticed that there is kind of a cafeteria style in choosing your food. They charge you by weight of food. I don’t really know if its cheaper or more expensive this way. I don’t like dining at a place where food is already made and sitting out though. I rather get it to go. I ordered some chicken and got a little bit of the different types of salad selection they had. But not all their food is pre made. I also ordered the ham benedict from their menu. — chicken: very tender! I liked it — ham benedict: I also liked this. The bread thing on the bottom stayed crunchy. I also notice that there was a bakery on the other side of the room. I came to look and didn’t see much selection. Kind of disappointed. I wanted the croissant I saw on Unilocal but they didn’t have it at the time.

I have been here 26 times. This is my third review(or second update, whatever you want to call it). I want the old Moulin back… The one that was small, intimate, and not well-known… The one which servers wearing a smile from ear to ear welcomed you with a «Bonjour». Or thanked you when you departed with a «Merci beaucoup» or «Au revoir». The one that custom-made crepes freshly… The one that made me feel like I was in Paris… The problem with today’s Moulin is a problem that almost every restaurant owner dreams to have — An amazingly successful debut! It was so successful that they quickly expanded and took over the vacant space in the strip mall adjacent to it, and practically doubling the size of the place. The line at the main counter is often long and not moving and gridlocked by indecisive customers staring at the yummy offerings behind the glass display. If you want to order from the menu or order to go, you’ll just have to wait. They are either understaffed or they have too many staff members standing behind the counter not knowing what to do… Lost… But the last straw came today, when we ordered a banana and Nutella crêpe without Nutella, which we’ve ordered numerous times before(see my pictures). It cannot be done because the crepes were already pre-made with Nutella!!! REALLY??? PREMADECREPES??? So all your crepes are actually premade now! French Fast Food??? Mass production because of your success??? Some of the original French employees when this place first opened are no longer there(or at least I never see them anymore). And most of the new employees here lost the«French Connection». And… BTW… what happened to the French pop music that you used to play? I am sorry, but this is no longer a slice of Paris in the backyard of Orange County like it used to be. Au revoir…

Viva la France! ! A little taste of France today for lunch although the crepes will never compare to the taste you’ll find on the streets of Paris. But it’s pretty darn close! Lunch today was pretty good. Service was excellent and the employees behind the counter made it a point to welcome me as this was my first time. I ordered the Nutella banana crepes and the rotteserie chicken with a salad. Ok I’m a hungry guy I know. Food was excellent and the ambience was cute and memorable. The quality is exceptional and you’ll kinda see that for the little more you will pay, you’ll see why and it’s worth it. Ordering in the food will be brought to your table and you’ll find yourself relaxing enjoying a French meal closing your eyes wishing you were back in Paris.. Haha ok that’s what I was thinking yesterday. Then reality woke me up and I had to go back to work. Great place great location, a little crowded at lunch but worth the wait.

My friends and I stopped by this cute French café for brunch. I was wowed by all the beautiful pastries as I walked in. They also sell cheese, sandwiches and side items. We ordered the croque madam and a chicken omelette. Both came with a side of mixed green salad. We also got a side of sweet beets. The croque madam was good but it had too much cheese, which took away from the flavor of the sandwich. The chicken omelette was standard. For dessert we grabbed a slice of cake or tart, I forgot the name but it seemed to be one of the popular items. It had a layer of citrusy custard that was good but not amazing. It’s a really cute spot, but the food didn’t blow me away.
