Very pretty inside — lots of expensive gourmet saucesxand potato chips and really expensive ketchup and mayonnaise. They don’t mark their fresh chicken and meats and sandwiches and other swlf packaged products with expiration dates because of the slow turnover. I have bought meat products thst were spoiled upon opening and the clerk allows that the frozen meats are actually the fresh meats that are three days or older from the fresh meat counter so the frozen meats are old as well. How do they even know how to remove old packaged peoducts themselves without expiration dates and are they not required to marl all packaged fresh products with expiration dates by law? Good place for expensive brabecue sauce and potato chips though.

Yum! I love this little mini grocery store on Balboa Island — it’s the little sibling of the bigger Promelis over on Westcliff. It sort of carries a little bit of everything, liquor, dairy, water, various drinks, chips and bread. There isn’t a «live» deli counter here, but you can find the deli products they carry at the Westcliff location here in packaged containers. I like to stop by and pick up their Meatball Marinara + Chicken Fettuccine packaged entrees. Prices are fine for the quality and portion size of the meals. Service was friendly, I was the only customer so no comment about how busy it gets. I went on a Friday afternoon. Dean’s Helpful Hint: That entire sidewalk in front of the store — and the stores right next door — with the green sidewalk marking is 30MINUTE parking. You don’t have to drive around looking for a spot, just park here, run in, get your stuff and run out =P.
