They were so helpful here! I needed a new universal remote so I Unilocaled this place and went in. They had a good selection of remotes. The guy working here explained them all to me. There was a fancy Harmony brand one and he explained the features and how easy it was to use. I am so glad I got it, it does more than most universal remotes and it is actually fun to set up.

I’ve been going to this store for a while now and I will be upset if they close. The people who work here often exceed my expectations which is rare. My mom told me about this store and that’s where she purchased her first IPhone .They did handle all the upgrades and transfers of data from android to iPhone or vice versa with ease and they are always receptive to any questions I have. Great deals on batteries too. I hope they stick around.

I do like this store and the service that they provide. The only thing that bothers me is how much they seem to push phones and phone service on you. I almost feel sorry for the staff that have to be trained to constantly ask about their phone and service provider. Just saying… Overall though, a nice store with friendly staff.

I first came into this RadioShack about two years ago, and didn’t even realize that they were an authorized retailer for Verizon and AT&T. My phone had kicked the bucket, and I needed to get a phone for work — fast! I went in and they took care of me. I was able to trade in my old phone for credit towards the purchase of my new one, and their prices are always lower than most direct retail stores. The thing that really sets this store above the rest is its staff. For the past two years, Rey has been providing me with high quality customer service. He always directs me to the perfect phone, and solves all of my tech problems. Many of the other employees in the store lean on him for guidance when dealing with customer questions. I was in the store for about 2 hours today trying to get a new phone(and making Rey deal with the mess my mother started with our phone plan) and all the while, people were asking him questions. He handled them with ease. Rey never leaves any loose ends(made sure all of my contacts, pictures, and music transfered over) and made sure there were no changes to my plan. He is meticulous in everything he does. He has extensive product knowledge, and is the only person I will work with when I get a new phone, or have a problem with an existing one. Rey is the assistant manager, but definitely deserves to have his own store. When he does, I’ll be his first customer!

Stop signs and stop lights in scenic Newport Beach, California(or «Caulifourneeaahh», if you will) seem to be a mere suggestion to some people. Not me… never me! I’ve experienced the results of a good«failure to stop» accident first hand… I still cringe… and ache! And I have categorized the non-stoppers here in good Old NPB, for your enjoyment(and easy identification)…they are, in no particular order: * «I’m entitled» — I have a Merc/BMW/Jag/Porsche/Aston Martin/Lexus/or worst of all — Range Rover County Class(oddly enough, the Bentley/Ferrari/McLaren/Lambo crowd all seem to stop at lights), and traffic regulation devices are for losers! * «I’m a Newport Nancy» — I’m pretty and I married rich and my sugar daddy/baby daddy/big daddy will pay for any misstep that I make, so why bother stopping for the«less beautiful». * «I’m super important» — I am on my phone/texting/looking up directions/reading/marveling at my own importance and the entire world needs to make way. * «I am an idiot» — You would think this category would be the most extensive, but few people get to live in NPB by being complete morons(you need to have something going for you in order to afford living here… or you need to have very rich and very dead relatives)…still, there are enough morons driving around(esp. during the summer) to keep your bunghole completely puckered! The Beautiful Carin cooked another set of earbuds this weekend… she goes through more headsets and earbuds for her phone than any other person I know. I want her to be safe when she drives, so that she sees the stop signs and any other traffic control devices or hazards that could possibly cause her harm! So to make sure that she has the latest and best in hands-free communication, I headed out(again) to give Radio Shack some more money(again) for another set of earbuds for my girl…(wait for it… again)! To offset these expenditures, I own Radio Shack stock(RSH)…simply because I might as well get something back for all the replacements that I buy. I braved traffic on Jambo and the PCH this morning(hence my little discourse on Red light runners) to get Carin a new set of Klipsch Earbuds for her iPhone… nothing but the best for my baby! The people at this Radio Shack store were friendly, lovely and helpful, the selection was really quite extensive(esp. for a Radio Shack… maybe as befits NPB), the prices were very competitive and(in an interesting lack of sales resistance on my part), I decided to buy the free replacement package for Carin’s earbuds(RSH is a short, in any event)! It could very well be a good deal… for just a few bucks, the next time Carin cooks a pair of earbuds(in oh, say 3 weeks or so), she just takes them in, gives them her phone number and they give her new earbuds! Yay! And I won’t even have to brave the red light runners to get them! Although I do guarantee that my 6,000 lb’s, ‘69 F-250 pickup with the push bumper can get Nancy’s Merc to stop at the light… one way or another.

A friend of mine told me to go to Radio Shack when I needed a new iPhone. He said they offer money when you trade in old ones. I called to verify this and spoke to Wayne. He was super nice and friendly and told me that yes, they offered a significant trade in for old iPhones, Blackberrys, etc. He then went over the plans with me(they carry most of the cell providers, such as AT&T and Verizon). At the time, however, the Sprint store was offering an even lower price and when I told him about their offer, he was honest and said, «That IS a good deal. Yeah, you should probably go for that one.» I was shocked by the fact that he was so honest and wasn’t trying to sell me on his plans. I called Sprint back to take them up on their offer and, lo and behold, they were sold out of iPhones for the next month! So…I called back Wayne and told him to put two iPhone 4S phones on hold(one for me and one for my mom) and that we would be in the next morning to sign the contract. The one I wanted wasn’t in stock so he PERSONALLYDROVE to another store in Orange to get it for me! Also, he had originally quoted about $ 75 for my trade in, but when we got there, he worked some kind of magic with his manager and we ended up getting $ 150 each!!! That made our 4S phones super affordable! He even helped us pick out cases and applied our screen protectors for us. A few months later, I needed an iPad for work. The new iPad 3 was just about to come out, so I called Wayne and spoke to him. I learned two things: 1) you can trade in your old iPad for money towards a new one just like with the iPhone, and 2) they were getting a few iPad 3’s in the day they came out. I asked him to save me one, and arrived at the store at 9am on March 16th. At 9:05am, I was the proud owner of «The New iPad»(apparently it’s not called«iPad 3»). I felt giddy knowing that I got mine so easily while other people were camped out in front of the Apple stores. In addition, he is so honest that he tells you what«extras» you need(such as Apple Care) and what you don’t need(that extra warranty on your sale item). It’s gotten to the point where I trust him so much that I just say«add whatever is necessary.» That level of honesty in a sales person is so rare nowadays. It has made me a loyal customer for life and I send all my friends to him. I now go to Wayne for every electronic need I have. He’s helped me with Sirius radio set-ups(he even offered to help install it in my car for me), a bluetooth keyboard, headphones, and Otter Boxes. I can’t recommend this Radio Shack and Wayne enough.

Recently had to purchase some electronics for work that were time sensitive. Normally I’d go online but since Radioshack is local I figured I’d bite the bullet and buy retail. Although the staff is extremely friendly and helpful the prices simply just don’t justify me coming back. Audio and visual cables can be found for tenth of the price online.

Went to this radio shack off the cuff after a zombie at a different radio shack jacked the phone I just purchased. Rey was super helpful, very friendly, he also had a calm and soothing affect on my irritated self. He was very patient and fixed me right up. YAY for great service!
