Ralphs Fresh Fare

Ralph’s Employee walked right up behind me at the in store Starbucks and asked the barista to make his drink. I was ahead of employee in line. His drink was made ahead of mine. When I asked the employee line cutter about it he lied and said he ordered it way before I got in line. Excellent customer service is NOT serving line cutter employees before customers and excellent employees do not lie to customers.

The employees are always nice, helpful, and cheerful. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because there have been many times when they don’t have what I’m looking for (even though they’re common items) and sometimes their prices are a little higher than I’d prefer. Convenient and close though so I continue to go!

Great large open isles, large selection, and friendly staff. I usually buy Boar’s head cold cuts from here.

My husband has a high position with Stater Bros. So, I’m supposed to shop there. Ralph’s is closer so I go there. After a recent visit at Ralph’s, I purchased a wrong item. Walking out of the store with the basket, my receipt blew off my purse and the wind took it. I was not going to chase it since I rarely need it to return an item. While putting the groceries away, I realized I bought the wrong item. It was 19.99. My husband said return it and don’t forget the to bring the receipt. I didn’t tell him it blew in the wind. For almost two weeks, I kept it convinced the store wouldn’t exchange without a receipt. On Easter, he insisted I exchange it. I immediately asked for the manager expecting a hastle or a «no» answer. The manager was wonderful. I exchanged it without incident. I wish I got his name.

This review is for the bakery at the Ralph’s located in Newport at Eastbluff. My co-​worker gave me a HUGE cool looking cupcake for my bday. I wanted to get it for one of my friends and asked my co-​worker where she got my cupcake. She told me Ralphs. I was like Ralphs? Are you sure? No, Ralphs does not make cakes like that. My co-​worker told me to go to the Ralph’s at Eastbluff in Newport, so I did.
To my surprise, they had them there. So many beautiful cool cakes and cupcakes. As I was chatting with the people at the bakery, praising their work. I mentioned that these cakes looked like the ones at French’s Bakery on 17^th street where I have been going for the past 7 years for my personalized cakes. So the current baker at Ralphs, is the same baker that use to work at French’s bakery with the GREAT designs that I have ordered in the past.
What a great find!!! :) Now I get the same cakes from the baker that I love at a fraction of the price.

This place has lots of groceries and its very close to where I live, so the rating stands.
Mostly I come here late night to grab an item or two; usually ice cream. The late night crew seems tired and kind of over it but I would be too. There was lots of construction being done earlier this year which was kind of annoying, but now the store looks cleaner and more up to date. Crowds are really never to bad here, it’s east bluff; we’re not animals like the people that shop at Trader joe’s on 17^th on a sunday… that’s a gnarly crowd.
Cool add-​on, great selection of flowers if you forgot your wife’s birthday again!

I used to live at Baypointe apartments and this was the best grocery store near me. I love the costumer service they provide they are never with a bad attitude.

Love this Ralph’s because of the location. It is super convenient for all the schools, houses, apartments, and busses nearby.
I usually just go here for any kind of grocery I need. They also have cute cards by the flower section.

I shop here a lot. It is so close to home, nice employees, Redbox, great bakery and great clearance rack… can’t beat it.
This Ralph’s is in the Eastbluffs shopping center next to ZPizza, CVS and Bank of America.

We like to bring our own Wine and Snacks on road trips instead of paying the high prices at hotels. On a recent trip to So Cal, we stopped by this Ralph’s location to grab some Wine and Snacks.
They have a good selection of Wine at good prices.
We bought a couple of bottles of Coppola Cabernet, $ 11.99 and off we went to check into our hotel.

Smaller store with limited selection. I think their deli selection of lunch meats is limited to an endcap. My boys couldn’t make their favorite sandwich with the spicy pepperoni found at other Ralphs. :(
