We were so impressed with the half peanut butter /half lavender cake that she made for our wedding that we had to get another cake for our baby shower. Linda gave us a wonderful tasting at her house to select the flavors, set up the cake masterfully, and it went off without a hitch. The cake was beautiful and tasted perfect. Thanks Linda!

She is awesome! I don’t even like sweets but this was a great experience and my taste buds may have been swayed. She prepared some many different types of cake as well as the filling and the topping. She also showed me two albums full of how she could decorate. We choose a killer combo that I know for a fact our guest will truly enjoy!

Utterly fantastic. Taste buds are subjective. When I needed a wedding cake, I went to countless bakeries that people had raved about online – only to be severely disappointed with generic tasting cake. I wanted a wedding cake that tasted every bit as good as it looked, and I wanted someone skilled enough to not have to use fondant. For those who don’t know, fondant is an inedible paste made from the tears of children and the souls of happy people.(In truth, it’s technically food, although no one actually eats it.) While I’ll reserve the cake vs. pie discussion for another time, good cake should taste effortless. Effortless in the way Kobe drives the lane; effortless in the way that gymnasts conquer the rings; effortless in the way you drive out to the country on a lazy Sunday. It shouldn’t taste processed, fake, pretentious, or dry; the frosting should be decadent without tasting generic; the fillings should complement the cake – not lend their moisture to an otherwise dry cake; The cake as a whole should be greater than the sum of its parts. Linda, the owner at The Confectionist delivers on all fronts, and makes an other-wordly cake. If you’ve ever heard chefs comment on food, they will often-times repeat the mantra of needing good ingredients for a good final product. Linda uses exceptional quality ingredients coupled with delicious recipes to turn out a product that can only be described as «perfect». If you’ve been searching for a bakery/wedding cake, your search is over. If you’ve noticed that cakes and cupcakes you’ve tasted lack that certain«something», your search is over. If you’ve wanted to find a bakery that is personal and passionate, your search is over. I knew my long and arduous search was over from tasting the first bite; the second bite made me forget about my troubles in finding a cake bakery; the third bite made me want to jealously guard the remaining bites. The owner is very sweet, and does not put on any airs. She has no marketing team, and no other people working for her. She has no slogan, but if I can, I’d like to suggesting the following: «The Confectionist. #23 on the bucket list». Done.
