I stopped in here after Easter lunch at Javier’s(another story). This and Trader Joe’s was one of the few stores open in Promenade. Beautiul, breezy, Cali casual clothes. No Newport pretension and this place does not look like the Real Housewives of OC shop here. In other words, no flash and trash here. This store made up for the so-so Javier’s food.

Very cute boutique among the nasty flashiness that is Orange County. I actually got my entrepreneurial spirit back because of Trio. It is so well edited. While carrying popular brands they also stock some unfamiliar. They also carry a great local SF jewelry designer Ashley Morgan. A must destination when I visit.

I first fell in love with Trio years ago in Palm Desert. I was excited when they opened in Crystal Cove but I always forget they are there! Thanks for reminding me again, Kat! You know that cool girl that is wearing a rockin pair of jeans, a perfectly washed t-shirt, flip flops, layered bangles, surfer blond locks and a slouchy handbag? She shops at Trio. I hope some of it rubs off on me!

A little out of the way for me, but not as bad as heading out to say, Laguna. Trio is a rather spacious boutique in the Crystal Cove Promenade in Newport Coast. The three-year old boutique sells a lot of the California casual-lux lines like C&C, Splendid, Ella Moss and Young, Fabulous & Broke, in addition to contemporary labels like Geren Ford, Rebecca Taylor, Mike & Chris, Rory Becca(adorable dresses!!!), Foley&Corinna and J Brand denim. Look for shoes by Juicy Couture, Pedro Garcia, Michael Kors and Charlotte Ronson and handbags by Botkier and Anna Corinna.
