My girlfriend and I stumbled across this restaurant today after running into a server in the parking lot(Brandon) and asking him for directions. He was so nice and was talking up the food so we figured we would go in and give it a shot. We are for sure glad we listened to him! The service was amazing and the food was even better. I had the bacon, mozzarella, asparagus, tomato, onion omelet-(comes with turkey but subbed bacon) it was delicious! The onions were caramelized to perfection! It came with fruit, a little side salad, and potatoes. My friend and I ordered the donut French toast off the kids menu to start– it was SOoooooO good! It also came with a large side of eggs, we definitely had more than enough food, but it was all so good we couldn’t stop eating. Thanks Brandon for getting us to come in, we will definitely come back!

Came here for weekend brunch and the ambiance of the restaurant was real cozy. I ordered the Newport Omelette, which was more than enough for my brunch craving and came with this addicting house hot sauce. But the highlight of the experience was our amazing server, Luis. He and his fellow staff were very attentive and took great care of us during the meal. Would definitely come back again for the service and to explore other menu options.

W Café came reputable for afternoon tea thus we have decided to give this spot a try this past Monday. Although the business was planning to close earlier, the owner was very nice in making an exception of keeping this spot open for us. From first impressions outside, with the décor it looks like an upscale bar. The spot is sorta hidden, with the black fabric for coverings and colors of red and white written on it you really have to look carefully to see the restaurant name. There’s a small walkway and after passing a few outdoor seating you arrive at the restaurant itself. The inside décor is pretty dark, a mix of dark furniture with classical & jazz music playing. On a personal side, in coloring it was a bit darker then my taste in furniture but no big deal. I seated myself after talking to the owner identifying myself as the one who called in for our party. He was nice and friendly and a nice girl assisted me with my order. I got a simple lunch salad with chicken and a cup of blood orange green tea as I waited. To a great surprise to me the food(chicken, salad, and fruits) tasted delicious! The chicken was tender while the salad had just the right amount of dressing. As ironically as it sounds, a lot of restaurants these days just don’t put salads as its priority. How salads are usually prepared in other places consisted of an usual dump of prepackaged supermarket salad mixed in with heavy amounts of dressing since most customer puts most of their expectation on the main course of their meal. Not W Café! It is delicately made and the ingredients came together perfectly. The tea is pretty tasty in flavor too! As a regular tea drinker I was surprised at the amount of detail they place in the presentation of the tea they serve you. With different types of sugar and honey, you have the option to brew your tea quickly or long with a timer given to you to calculate how strong you want your tea to be. It is definitely a very catchy part of the entire presentation and I’ve genuinely enjoyed it. After my friends came, they felt the same for their dishes too and we would all give this spot an A++++++! We’ll be back the next time we’re in the neighborhood for sure!

I came here with my friends and really enjoyed the friendly service from the owners at the café! Don’t be fooled by how simple the food looks… it’s delicious and well made. I ordered an avocado toast with kale along with their tea. The seasoning was just right. I also had a banana french toast which my friend ordered. It was not too sweet and good flavor as well. I also tried a bite of the omelet with lobster and it was also really delicious. Give this place a try, and you will not be disappointed :)

Boyfriend and I came here a few weeks ago. It wasn’t our first choice, but Haute Cakes next door was closed for repairs. Since we were starving, we walked to W Café. I think the time we spent waiting for our food to come out, we could have drove somewhere else and would have finished eating lunch. Let me explain. He ordered the donut french toast and mango iced tea, and I ordered a chicken panini and water. The server brings the tea, but not water. Since I didn’t get my water, I decided I would order a drink. Asked the server if they had oolong iced tea. She said no so I said regular iced tea is fine. 15 mins go by, no iced tea. I asked another server about my tea. About 5 mins later, the original server brings me this pinkish iced tea. I was pretty sure it wasn’t regular iced tea, but thought it was more hassle to ask for a correction than to just drink it. I took a sip, it sucked so I had to ask the server if it was regular iced tea. She said she would check and left. She then comes back with the real iced tea. So, we’re about 40 mins in after ordering and still no food. Somebody walks by and said it’s coming out shortly. 10 mins later our food comes out. Boyfriend’s french toast was burned at the bottom and stuck to the plate. Now having to wait almost an hour for food and getting burnt food on top of that would pist off just about anyone. We just stood up, told one of the employees about the horrid experience and left. Definitely not returning to this place. Ever.

Such a great place to chat with girlfriends, all while enjoying beautiful delicious food. Salmon Benedict is awesome along with amour tea and a blueberry scone. Our waiter Louis was really friendly. What really topped it off was Billie(the owner) coming greet us and make sure we had a great time. Be sure to use Unilocal not google maps for directions, otherwise it’ll take you to a different location. Will definitely come back :)

We were in the area early Saturday morning and decided to try a new breakfast place. My husband found W Café on Unilocal and we decided to give it a try. It’s a quaint little restaurant tucked in the back of strip mall. The staff was courteous but the service a little slow for an almost empty restaurant. I ordered the chicken pesto panini for myself, for my son we ordered the grilled sandwich from the kid’s menu and my husband had egg white omelette. I have to say I was really impressed by this panini. Great flavor, perfect ratio between chicken and bread! Hot and fresh! They use a thinner bread and it works beautifully. The side of Caesar salad is just lettuce with croutons with some drops of Caesar dressing. Nothing impressive about that part of my meal. But the sandwich totally makes up for it. The grilled cheese was a flop. The cheese was pretty gross, it tasted like American cheese from a can. My son tried a bite and spat out so I tried it myself and I can’t blame him for not wanting to eat it. My hubby’s omelette was good, well seasoned and tasty. Can’t go wrong with an egg white omelette. Craving the panini as I write this review!

A fantastic first experience with my friend, Devin! Without many people around, a quiet Tuesday afternoon allowed for us to savor the lovely, relaxing & romantic Bossa Nova music in the background. The same could be said about the décor, as well. We shared the turkey burger and a plate of donut french toast(because who wouldn’t order a plate titled that!?). Burger was, thankfully, juicy, flavorful, and came with a nice Caesar salad — a nice dish. Now, the donut french toast was one of the most wonderful, unique desserts I’ve ever had; it was crispy on the edges, yet had light and airy dough, paired with fresh fruit and a mango/chocolate/raspberry syrup that was finger-licking good. I would eat this dish anytime of the day or night. This is a quaint, darling place, with a promise of intimacy and delicious food. Even better, the owner, Wais(pardon my spelling), is an exceptional gentleman.

By default we came across W café. A delightful experience it was. It wasn’t too busy on a Sunday late morning so we were seated right away. W café offers high tea in the afternoon, but we skipped that and ordered off the menu. Breakfast Burrito: eggs, turkey, avocado, cheese, salsa: all the right things for a healthy breakfast burrito. Chicken Panini: a good sandwich with caesar salad. Donut french toast: doesn’t need the maple syrup. Sweet as it is! Delicious for something sweet. Service was friendly. Looks like a family business, which is nice. I hope they do well.

Don’t we all love a good birthday brunch? I ventured in here a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised! They not only have great breakfast and brunch, but an amazing lunch menu! Their coffee and tea bar is bountiful as well. The staff is very welcoming and remember you every time. One thing I must brag about is their fresh orange juice and Donut French Toast! Get this, minus the donuts, this place is very healthy and everything is made fresh and from amazing ingredients. This little gem is also located in a great shopping district and has a great outdoor seating area! The French toast was a modern take on a on a old favorite. Made on a donut, this is surprisingly light but not oil soaked. Was served with fresh strawberries and just a slight sprinkling of powdered sugar. To complement this, we tried an herbal and a white tea, which is only two of the many types of tea they have. An herbal tea called Apple pie and a white tea flavored with peach were both served with pure honey and various types of sugar for flavor! Fun fact, they also have afternoon tea. Afternoon tea is one of my favorite things! Would I make my way back to this spot again? I think so!

Called in asking if they could serve us 10 minutes before closing and they said yes! I got the florentine Benedict and my boyfriend got the smoked salmon Benedict. Both were good but we both preferred the salmon over florentine. We also got a pumpkin tiramisu which was bomb The man who served us was so friendly too! Will be back

I’m really glad we stumbled upon this gem for brunch even though it’s a bit difficult to find and in an unknown area, because the prices are cheap for what you’re getting. I’ve never had chia seed pudding before but I’ve been hooked since I’ve had it here. They use almond milk, hemp granola, and fresh fruit, but I’ve become inspired and started making my own rendition of it with coconut milk and coffee. Their donut French toast, was not as sweet as I’d imagined and was very delicious. I believe the slice a glazed donut then create French toast from that. Their Newport omelette was probably the worst of the three, but not too bad considering. I did notice they pay more attention to older, wealthier, guests… But I guess they’re trying to be business people and disregarding the normal everyday people like myself.

W Café will need to make significant improvements if longevity is any goal of the ownership. W Café was total Unilocal find; I was in the area and figured I would try something new for breakfast and W Café looked like it may fit the need perfectly. Nestled into a nice and inviting spot right off 17th, the open, airy and sun drenched deck seemed like a perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee and a small l breakfast. The set up is a bit confusing as the menu and point of sale kiosk looks like a fast casual but if you order«for here», you will be seated and receive full service. That being said, the service was friendly and largely on point through the meal. The menu is fairly small but does offer what could be inspired signature dishes such as the«French Toast Donut» and a Lobster Omelet. Wanting a savory egg dish, I chose to try the Florentine Benedict with an Orange Juice. The meal was prepared within 15 minutes and while I waited they management(or owners?) all sat at one of the tables and started watching viral videos together. After what must have been a few funny ones, even the kitchen staff came out to check out You Tube’s latest LOL’s. I didn’t really know what to make of that, it seemed really unprofessional but maybe Costa Mesa is just that casual? At any rate, onto the food: The Florentine Benedict looked like standard issue as it was presented to me. I asked for hot sauce upon seeing the plate, but they were out so I had the dish naked which proved very boring. The hollandaise was pale and muted, and the seasoning was just salt and a bit of red pepper flakes. The Eggs were poached adeptly which is a good thing because the runny yolks became 95% of the flavor profile. The Sautéed Spinach added a bit of depth to the mouthfeel, but added little in the flavor department. This meal was Yawn. With Haute Cakes being literally next door and 2 Eat Chow locations within a short drive my return to W Café is highly unlikely. Hopefully the kitchen makes some adjustments to their menu sooner than later as my meal had no pop factor.

Amazing spot! Great food and tea service. My friend got the Amore white tea and we let it steep for 5 minutes. It was good and strong. I got the coconut flavored cappuccino because I needed a good caffeine kick and it was AMAZING. I picked it specifically because I didn’t want something two sweetened and it was PERFECT. And the donut French toast is a must try. Not too sweet and great for a light breakfast. Look for Luis! He was our server and I have never had a more attentive server!
