Starbucks

I’m an avid Starbucks drinker but am grossed out after using the bathroom here. With the store being located in Crystal Cove, I expected this to be more sanitary. Employees: please be attentive to the bathrooms as well.

Starbucks is the absolute worst coffee in the world. Anyone who drinks this stuff and thinks that it’s good, which is comical looking at some of these reviews, has no idea what real coffee and real milk taste like. I’m stuck in Newport Beach with no where to get a cup of coffee, otherwise I would have never gone to a Starbucks. I think it’s worth doing without any coffee for a week. Can’t wait to get back to Mill Valley where at least people know how to make great coffee and you have the opportunity to completely avoid Starbucks.

This is the neighborhood gathering place. People who come here enjoy seeing each other. This is a great place to make new friends or see your neighbors.
The people that work here keep me coming back. They are fantastic at their profession and such kind souls. I love coming here. Happy Thanksgiving ‼‼

Always packed when I go before work with lots of parents with kids on the way to school etc. no matter how busy it gets the employees are friendly, efficient and always get my order right. Points for the super nice women at the register who often recalls my name and mentions if I haven’t been there in a while. Nice touch!
I will say that coffee addiction is the great equalizer. The people in line standing together looking dazed include –some guy driving a Ferrari who looks like he has nowhere to go, ladies who lunch starting early by meeting for breakfast, parents and kids trying or get organized, medical workers in scrubs, teens buying sugary drinks, construction guys and office worker bees like me. All of us sheepishly waiting for our fix!

The staff at this location are very friendly and I enjoying making this stop every morning because they know my order and they are very welcoming.

This Starbucks has a horrible issue with ice. Any size drink I buy is filled to the brink with ice and I watch as the baristas pour in half of the drink made (which fills the cup because it’s full of ice) and throw away the other half of the drink. I order Ventis and I honestly think it’s the same amount of liquid in it as there is in a normal tall drink. I started asking for light ice, and they took out MAYBE 5 ice cubes total. I literally just asked the lady «could you take out some ice? I asked for light ice» and she came back with a ¾ full drink and said «here you go» with still half ice. I just don’t get it!!! I want my full drink

Customer service has improved from horrible bitchy «I’m too good to talk you or work here», so still needs a lot of improvements compare to other Starbucks.

Starbucks has become a large global company. Many of the franchise have forgotten the value foundation that the coffee chain was built on. It is very rare to find a Starbucks with excellent customer service, and the Starbucks here is one of them!
Let’s be honest, the drinks are all the same. It is the baristas that craft an enjoyable environment for customers. The baristas here are friendly and have made this global chain feel like a neighborhood Starbucks. I see people baking cakes and cookies for the baristas from some special friendship that they’ve made. If someone isn’t too happy with their beverage, the baristas don’t mind making it to your taste as many trays as you want. It is the customer service and the friendly environment here that makes us remember what all Starbucks worldwide should be like.

This is probably the best Starbucks location in the world. Hard to describe why, just trust me on this one.

Starbucks is always my go to breakfast. They have a nice staff and make your drinks quickly. I personally recommend the double chocolate chip frap. Over all I recommend Starbucks!

I feel this review is well past due because I don’t really stop to think about how seamlessly my barista does her job.
We all rave about Starbucks, it’s amazing– &this location has the staff to match.

So I order a regular coffee and a danish ask not to warm it up sure enough she puts it in the oven do these employees listen to customers any more

I love the convenience of this Starbucks and the fact that it’s never too busy. Unfortunately, they can’t seem to get my order right. I had drinks made incorrectly. Once I ordered a chocolate croissant and was given a sausage croissant instead (but charged for the chocolate). I have left without my drink before because someone else took mine. Typically I’m not one to complain as I work in the service industry, so I tend to let things slide off my shoulders. The reason I decided to finally write a review was because of my experience this morning. I ordered a grande vanilla latte — extra shot of espresso. It tasted like burnt coffee and couldn’t even drink it. These are all minor things but they do add up when you visit often.

Love my local Starbucks! My home away from home. I’m saddened that many if the old baristas that were here for a long time aren’t here any more. I guess that’s how it is, they move up to better and bigger things. Heather is great, she knows everyone by their name. Over all, great place to get my morning coffee.

I loveeee this Statbucks, they literally have the nicest and coolest baristas ever. They know my drink and are always super helpful in suggesting new drinks! I come here every night and they have such a lovely staff working, my barista Kelli is always spot on and super friends, I recommend this spot for everyone near Newport

I love that the staff here doesn’t give me weird looks when I come in right after my run. Face dripping with sweat and ridiculously smelly — they smile and pretend that I’m the best thing they’ve seen all day.
I also love that they’re open at 5AM. And that there’s always parking available.

I come here often to work and I like this place. The internet connection is good and there is always room to sit. It can get crowded or quiet on random hours.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. One time I saw Kobe Bryant here with his family… So exciting: D

Starbucks is fast-​food coffee to me. I much prefer Coffee Bean or anywhere else. I think people go here for the name, but the quality of coffee, hot chocolate, etc. is much better elsewhere.
Give other, smaller, mom and pap shops a try!

I am so shocked that no one has written a review on this starbucks. It is nestled in an Irvine-​company-​ish big plaza on Newport Coast Drive, right next to the FIre Station on San Joaquin. Within the plaza are also a Planet Beauty, First Class Pizza, and a grocery store.
As for the starbucks… IT IS AMAZING.
When you can get an ultra customized drink (like yours truly chooses to do) within 1 – 2 minutes regardless of how many people are there (although there normally aren’t very many), wow, there’s not much I can say but WOW OH WOW.
Plus, the people working are ultra friendly, but not in a «all I care about is how much you can tip me» way.
