Love this place. Much rather be here than Eustis. The staff is very nice and helpful. It gets crowded during lunch hours and after COB but there are enough machines to alter your routine. There’s a sauna and lockers in the males latrine and a pretty nice basketball court. I don’t favor big gyms with more than you can dream big of machines. This one is perfect for my needs

3 stars… maybe 3.5. I like this gym maybe because it is familiar and maybe because it is so close to home. It is smaller than most military base gyms, theres not pool and no real group classes unless you like Spin Classes but it works and it has the basic neccesties. Theres a handful of cardio machines, the treadmills have TVs finally attached to them too. The weight room has all the basic weight machines and decent free weights for it’s size. Theres mirrors too so you can work on posture or use it like I do and admire myself :) theres a spin room and a little room to do some solo workouts… they should change that really. The ladies room is clean, they have a sauna and sometimes have freebies like lotion and shampoo, which are supplied from the Inn on base. 6 showers with curtains, lots of lockers maybe too much if you ask me. Theres a basketball court, which I have never stepped foot into. They hand out towels up front. And have free valuable storage too. The ladies and gentlemen upfront are pretty nice most of them have been working there for years since they retired. Overall, I like this gym because even though its small and has everything I need. After 5pm or 1700 for you military folks it does full up and I try to avoid it. There aren’t many options for nearby gyms here and its free. It beats waiting in line at Fort Eustis.
