The Cleaning Authority

Had this service for almost 3 years. It was actually a Mother’s Day present for my wife since she hates to clean the house, and since I deploy randomly throughout the year it saves her a lot of time. Especially since she works full-​time as well and has to take care of the family when I’m gone. Initially the cleanings were excellent. However around six months ago the attention to detail plummeted. We would come home and see dirt under the tables in the kitchen and dining room, and crumbs on the tables and kitchen counters. Additionally, they were using a chemical that was changing the color of our grout to a darker shade. A little scrubbing with a brush revealed that it was some sort of build up from the product they were using. You could see under the tables and under the cabinets the original color of grout but in the center of the rooms the grout would be several shades darker. After bringing this to their attention as well as the lack of attention to detail they sent people to try to rectify the situation. However after returning from my last two month deployment the grout was back to the dark grimy shade, and there were all sorts of discrepancies throughout the house. For example, the top of the refrigerator appeared to have not been wiped clean in months. The same for all of the light fixtures in the house. After the last time they came I ran the vacuum in the upstairs hallway and collected the same amount of dirt I would expect to collect if no one had vacuumed in weeks. We terminated our service and do not recommend this company.
