First be clear that this is not a links course and offers relatively no views of the ocean. The pro shop was nicely stocked and the employee was very friendly and welcoming. The course is well maintained, but is more rolling then I prefer. It is definitely worth a play.

Thank you for the TV(Ducks game). Great clam chowder and very friendly service. Homey environment. Simple but clean.

Nice 9-hole course. Not real long and most holes are straight ahead with little trouble. Greens run a bit slow resulting in some 3-putts. Dogleg holes 7 and 9 are the most fun. I’ll definitely play again the next time I am in Newport.

Very scenic and pretty course. Very easy to walk. It can get pretty windy, but not too bad. 9-hole course. Very green… and not too much of a «coastal course». Family friendly… and good pace of play. Worth the trip… and not too expensive. Good pro-shop as well. Located just off 101.

I don’t golf but discovered the café at the Agate Beach Golf Course almost by accident. Located in the north end of Newport and opened daily from 7AM to 3PM, breakfast is available all day. The food is well prepared and modestly priced. The service is fast and friendly. The cook has been there for 13 years and her apple cake is to die for!

Can only use irons on driving range — short and narrow. Nine hole course is easy for beginners — straight fareways and well maintained. Very enjoyable.
