If you know good BBQ and are looking for that don’t come to this place. I have been a couple time because groups from work go and I don’t have a choice. Once my chicken was raw in the middle. Another the pork was so dry as to be inedible. Nothing good to say about it at all except that the service is friendly and the iced tea is good. Won’t ever go there on purpose in this life. I am a Kansas City Certified BBQ Judge and know good BBQ — this is not on that list.

What?! 5 stars for a BBQ joint?! Well here are 5 reasons. 1) Their daily special. For us, it was $ 12 for all you can eat ribs/fried catfish and 2 sides. All of it was SOO good and made to order. They were HOT and fresh! Aside from my dad’s ribs, this place is the best I’ve ever had. BBQ sauces are made in-house and have I said everything is done to order?! 2) Really nice servers. Southern hospitality. 3) Locals and regulars were eating here. Yes, that’s right, old men and women were munching away here while servers addressed them by NAME. 4) Accomodation. They close at 9:00pm, but they stayed until 9:30 for us. We felt bad, but hailing from Atlanta where the night life picks up after 9pm we should have known better. 5) We had many, many laughs over the restaurant name. When we first passed by, we thought it said«Blue Sushi». But then we found it and it was«Blue Smoke». Once we arrived, the sign actually said«Blue Smoki». And when we saw the menu, the name of the place was«Rusty Barn.» How’s that for confusion?
