I have a 112 year old house in Newport with the original door and original heavy brass egg shape door knobs. One day while leaving the house I found myself with the doorknob in my hand — it stripped off the spindle. I couldn’t find the parts at any of the big name hardware stores (Ace, Lowes, Homedepot) or even at two smaller mom and pop places. I took a walk to Coristine’s one morning and had all the parts I needed within 10 minutes — for only $ 25 too!
Good selection of hardware and very knowledgable.

Being new to the area, I basically picked Coristine out of the phone book and asked my realtor if they were reputable. When he said yes, I scheduled them to change the locks at our new house.
The locksmith showed up on time, took all the locks to their shop and returned with them re-​keyed (all to one key, very convenient.) He was friendly and professional, and I felt the price was right. (though I have no clue what it should cost.) I liked their service and would definitely use them again.
