Just googled bowling pro shops and this place came up, so I went on an adventure to find it. I had no idea that I was walking into such a quality bowling pro shop. Josh was super knowledgable about everything I had questions about and helped me to select my first bowling ball. Great prices and custom drilling is free with the purchase of the ball, with name or initials engraved on the ball. Great family-owned business and highly recommended for any new bowlers looking to get started.

I know jack about bowling and you could have knocked me over when my teenaer joined the bowling team at her school. The coach of the bowling team highy recommended Hitt’s as the place to get her ball and bag. I compared prices on line before we went and Hitts beat nearly all competitors(particularly when you think about shipping. Got a bag, ball, shoes for 130 dollars. Free drilling and her name was also engraved on the ball. Turns out the finger holes were drilled too deep. Going back today to get it fixed(free). We were treated well and given pleasant friendly service. DIdn’t matter that I know nothing about bowling, I felt as if I were treated as well as someone who has been bowling for 50 years.

I have been bowling since I was 3 years old. With a family full of bowlers I practically grew up in a bowling alley and around pro-shops but I have to say this is the best experience I have had. All the credit goes to the owner Josh, who is incredibly nice and really knows his business. I was able to ask him all these nerdy/techincal/dumb bowling questions that have been bugging me without feeling like a weirdo. Josh did a great job on the ball re-drilling that brought me in in the first place and even fixed my span a little since it was wrecking my fingers. I thought that I needed a completely new drilling on the ball but Josh left the thumbhole since it didn’t need to be re-drilled and that would make it cheaper for me; talk about taking care of your customers! When I told Josh that we’d be back soon because my boyfriend would need a new ball he even worked out a nice deposit deal on top of his already great prices(there really are some great ball/bag combo, and end of season prices in there). I believe he also does clinics or lessons as well and after judging by his knowledge and enthusiasm about the process and techniques, I’m going to assume those are probably pretty great too.

This place is great!!! Josh the owner is super nice and friendly. their hours are a little weird but it’s probably cause that’s when the bowlers come out to play… so you should probably call ahead of time to see if they are open. I think they are open after 4pm Tuesday through Friday. Anyhow, I’m not an experienced bowler but I do enjoy the game. I have always had a couple of issues such as finding the right ball, and using public shoes. I decided it was time to own my own ball and shoes. I stumbled upon this place and was pleasantly surprised. He actually had a deal when I went in. Buy a ball, shoes and bag for 120.00. Not bad for a beginner like me, he actually worked a better deal with me since I went with the cheaper ball and cheaper bag(to match my ball). He measured my hand, drilled the holes for my fingers and I even got my bowling name engraved in the ball!!! When he finished with it he called me to let me know it was ready for pick up. That’s service!!! My ball was ready within 24 hours, and it’s set next to a bowling alley so you can bowl right away if you want. When you go in let him know you heard about him on Unilocal!
