Mery is the best tailor. She has altered multiple items in my wardrobe-​from suits to dresses. She takes in lined jackets perfectly and dress-​both taking in sides and pulling up shoulders. Highly recommend her!!!

We just got married in Newport on October 4^th and we live in Seattle, WA. We arrived into town and went to Mery’s to have my husbands tux pressed as well as my wedding dress. We had arranged this prior to arriving to town as she was the only one willing to help us out with a Sunday wedding. The day before the wedding she noticed the hem was completely done incorrectly as well as the dress needed to be taken in a bit on the sides. I had been rushed with alterations in Seattle as we had just relocated there 25 days before the wedding.
I had just met her but she really seemed to care about my dress and making it right. She worked late on Saturday and made my dress look perfect. I have lived in a number of different cities across the country and I have never seen such sacrifice for outstanding customer service. She is the reason that I felt like a princess in my dress on my wedding day. I can’t say enough about the quality and commitment to her amazing work, not to mention she is so sweet! :) WONDERFUL!!!

Mery’s tailor shop is an elegant shop in Newport, and Mery is a lovely lady, an excellent tailor. She made alterations on my daughter’s beaded dress and did a super job — we are so happy to have found her!

Mery is a wonderful tailor, no question the best on Aquideck island. Others told me they would not work on a dolce& gabbana dress with unusual seams. Mery tailored it PERFECTLY, and the darts she created look natural to the dress. And she did the work in two days and charged me about ¹⁄₅ of what other tailors around here charge. Since then she had worked on most of my wardrobe and it is FLAWLESS every time. If I could give her six stars, I would.
