Food was excellent, but sitting area was small and smelled like cigarettes… I recommend ordering ahead of time. Staff is very friendly and don’t nickel and dime for extra sauces!
Overall and excellent place to get some quality Chinese!

Surprisingly yummy! We’re staying at a place at Sunapee, so it was maybe a 6 mile drive, and Waze decided to route us over a road that had last been paved in 1927 and had obviously had heavy military vehicles running over it, probably with a little gratuitous shelling. When we got to Newport, we found the restaurant was a little hole in the wall. I“m sure I’ll sound like a city snob here, but it looked like the sort of place we would usually pass right by. However, having trekked over the Ho Chi Minh trail to get there, we decided we’d rough it some more and eat there.
SO glad we did. The food was very good, prepared as we sat there, not oily or heavy at all. The staff (owners?) were friendly and pleasant and we loved it. It was much much better than food we’d pay twice as much for back in Boston. Definitely try this place, but leave the dinner jacket and cocktail dress at home.

This is very good New Hampshire Chinese food. All the typical favorites. It’s not NY or Boston Chinatown good, but for a small town it’s tasty. I advise taking out — the atmosphere is awful — horrible seating and lighting — it’s basically a take out place with tables. It’s not especially cheap but not horribly expensive.

Great food. Been going for years and it’s been the same great quality each time. The portions are good, the staff is friendly, and the flavors are right. Best crab rangoons in New England (though not very crabby).

Moved here from Atlantic City looking for decent Chinese food. Nothing in any of the local towns compare! Really good and super large portions. Comparable to any large metro area Chinese food in a small town in NH considering lack of quality in bigger towns like concord and manchester.

Ming China really is as good as Chinese food gets in the Lake Sunapee region.
My wife, parents and I stopped in for dinner last night and it’s great to see that the food is still as good as it’s been.
The crab rangoon and steamed meat dumplings are great as was the fried rice with fried bean curd, the General Tso’s (it was nice and crispy!), the curry chicken and the szechuan chicken.

Huge portions and great quality! A terrific value… especially after a day of skiing! Spareribs were very, very good. Such a great find considering the size of Newport.

I ordered takeout from ming and was more than satisfied. Large portions are always a plus. The general gaos was delicious… perfect amount of sweet and spice. Lots of rice and crab rangoons were good. Definitely will order from ming again.
Simply put: not much for dine in but take out at its finest

We are only here during the Summer months but it is the only place we go for Chinese. The quality control of the ingredients and prep are great. This family owned restaurant is a friendly place to eat.
