I was up in the Newport, NH area the other day and I noticed a new Ocean State Job Lot had opened up in the old Ames building.
I had never been in one, so I just HAD to stop in and check it out.
This is a discount store, very similar to BIG LOTS. They had a lot of junk, but some everyday useful stuff as well.
Examples: Tools, music and video, Christmas decorations, office supplies, kitchen, foods, arts and crafts, clothes, slippers, kids toys.
The store was neat and clean and well organized. I even had a few sales people come up and asked me if they could help me, which I was pretty amazed at.
