Our falafel wrap looked amazing but our pita disintegrated in our hands and the flavors weren’t anything to write home about.

What a nice little find this place was. It could easily be overlooked among the plethora of t-shirt shops and other big name restaurants in the area, but this is a charming, delicious little spot to stop for lunch. My girlfriend and I were staying in town for the weekend, and after an afternoon bike ride on Ocean Drive, we needed something to hold us over for dinner. We asked the owner of the Bed & Breakfast we were staying at, and Pick Pockets was the first place he mentioned. They have many delicious wraps and sandwiches. No skimping here, these wraps are hearty! And delicious! The service was friendly and extremely helpful in recommendations.

Best lobster roll ever. I think a good lobster roll should be toasted with butter. I don’t get the whole cold with mayo thing. Their chicken falafel wrap is also very good, but messy, so eat it there. Not a place for the atmosphere but good food and its across from the cupcake shop. look forward to going again

After a day on the water or tooling around town this is a fantastic place to stop in and grab a quick bite. With a variety of wraps, pockets, and rolls, there is something for everyone on the menu. We split a mediterranean specialty(falaffel, hummus, the works) and a lobster roll(after reading the reviews, how could we resist)? The lobster roll was good, at a great price of $ 10. It wasn’t quite that of right off the boat in ME, but it was tasty, and worth the price. The mediterranean wrap was our nightcap, though. It was full of tasty goodness, and did us in. So good after a long day. If you want a cheap affordable, quick sandwich type meal, Pick Pockets is definitely worth a stop!

The food makes this place 4 stars. The customer service i received deserves at least one extra. I had the«fat boy» — a genius combination of chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, fried, marinara sauce, and of course lettuce and tomato. Just read that one more time and let in sink in. It’s absolutely as good as you’re imagining. We also ordered a side of fries — they had to make a fresh batch, and then they burned the fresh batch they had made — this all added up to them being ready about when we were finished with our meals. Without even bringing it up the guy at the counter refunded us the cost of the fries. Amazing customer service — we were already going to leave happy after an awesome meal, but that just sealed the deal.(btw — the fries were delicious)

Tasty, hot and crispy felafel. The sauce all slid into the ends of my wrap and dripped all over the place though, which was a little annoying. Staff seemed friendly enough. Pick Pockets definitely deserves the«divey» label, though don’t let that keep you from stopping in if you want a good lunch. Eat outside if it’s a nice day.

lobster rolls were delicious — HUGE chunks of lobster on a hotdog bun. don’t pay for the«hot» lobster roll as its not worth paying an extra dollar for them to pop it in the microwave. nomnomnom.

Went there last year with my 2 visiting nieces. Honestly don’t remember what I ordered :-) but it was really good(all of us were happy with our meals), VERY reasonable and friendly. Ambiance is zero, definitely want to get your order to go.

The food at Pick Pockets is exactly what one would expect– hearty, cheap falafel, hummus, tzatziki, and all manner of middle eastern fast food. I left feeling just as I do when in Adams Morgan or any college town after the bars have closed. Great simple comfort food. The falafel and chicken is huge and delectable.

Although the staff was friendly and the menu had decent variety, the food was lacking. My husband loves a good lobster roll so I decided to try this place since there were goood reviews. The price for the lobster roll was definitely great but it was very small and had too much lemon juice for my taste. We also ordered the clam chowder which was also another disappointment, runny and hardly any clams. I also had the falafel in pita which I guess was ok. Since it was my first falafel, I don’t any other experience to compare it to.

Worst chowder in all of new england! Salty and gummy are the only additives I can use to describe it. And seriously, who puts lettuce and pickles in a lobster role? WTF! Fishy, pasty lobster with drippy mayo. Reading the other reviews I can’t help but think they were in a different establishment.

Searching for a restaurant that served Lobster Roll, saw a huge sign at the front of PPD and Lobster Roll for $ 9.95. I didn’t realize until later how much of steal price-wise this was. The bread and spread they used to wrap the lobster was delicious. The clam chowder as a side suit the cold weather nicely. I definitely would recommend this place to avoid the«touristy» joints nearby for a quick bite.

So I’ve been looking for awesome places to grab lunch or dinner… as I just started working in Newport. This place is great… and cheap! 50% off after 6pm! My $ 7.95 chicken wrap was less than 4 bucks tonight! It was a decent size too! This place has two menu boards full of items that are made fresh as soon as u order. Can’t decide? The friendly staff answered my questions to find the perfect sandwich to feed my appetite. Once you pick out your food choice, you have three colors full of different beverages to choose from… Soda’s, Juice’s, Coconut water? Yummm! I know, weird… but you have to try it! It seems like they have a few daily specials too. Their soup is great from what I here… But I’ll update that for you once I try it out!

I am not a Lobster Roll expert… BUT… the ones at PPD are fantastic! The bread was heated/toasted and the lobster filling was very. lobster-y! Service was great– we took our food to go and ate it basking in the sun at a nearby park.

I loved it for what it was. Lunch was great here and they also had a little dining area to eat in which was perfect. We sat in the window and watched people walk by. I had a Crazy Veggie wrap and it was filled with all sorts of veggies and it also had hummus, which I LOVE! The wrap was not your run of the mill doughy thing either, it was like a toasted up really thin pita… It was yum! Hubby got a gyro and he devoured it. They also have a nice selection of bottled beverages, chips, and even some baklava. I would totally stop in again for lunch, it was perfect and they were quick and fresh.

Pick Pockets is a few pieces of lobster meat on a roll short of 5 stars. I was impressed by their selection, including Mediterranean selections, Boars Head deli meats, and seafood. I tried the Lobster Roll and enjoyed the flavor. It tasted fresh and was not overly seasoned, which is nice because lobster has a good flavor of its own that should be allowed to come through. If I were in town longer I would like to try some of their other sandwich selections, but I guess that will have to wait until next time.

Since we’re out on the road for a couple of days(no access to gym), we decide to keep a healthy & light fare for dinner. After much browsing, we read a large menu outside listing different wraps and salads. We went in and was immediately greeted by a friendly counter guy. I asked about the chicken falafel wrap, he said to go for it and everything was good on the menu. My husband had the buffalo chicken wrap, taste just like buffalo wings with a spicy tangy sauce. Mine taste just like a chicken shawarma platter except a wrap with delicious hummus & Taiziki sauce. Portions are just right and extremely fresh. Everything is made right in front the counter while you sit. I also had their fruit smoothie to go with my wrap. Very refreshing after a long walk! I can taste the bits of fresh fruits and seed in the smoothie.

I thought this place was great… They have a huge, diverse menu. There were so many options to choose from, but I had to go with the $ 9.99 lobster roll that they were advertising on their white board outside their shop. The lobster roll was decent. They gave plenty of meet, little lettuce, and a nice grilled bun. Their sauce was tangy, and I enjoyed, but its a different sauce from what you might expect as a pairing with your lobster roll. They had plenty of other options such as wraps, and build your own salads. Overall, this was a very healthy place and I’ll be coming back here for lunch sometime again for sure.

Really delicious wraps and salads, and everyone who works there is extremely nice and really helpful. The falafel is SO good, and is really soft and fluffy in texture. Veggies are always fresh, a very good thing. Great options for vegetarians, which I of course really appreciate. Nothing feels heavy or greasy at all. Prices are pretty decent too, especially when they’re running one of their special deals. Right now, I believe, everything is 50% off after 5pm. Basically, that translates into my $ 6 – 7 dollar dinner turning into a $ 3 – 3.50 dinner. Uhh, Can I cook for cheaper than that? …Alright, alright, I probably can, but Pick Pockets is so tasty!
