As for the grounds, this place is well kept and a very tranquil place to visit. The people who work here though, NEVER return phone calls. I left two messages last year about my dad’s grave and asking why his headstone didn’t have his name added and that I would pay if it wasn’t already paid. I am told this can take some time but her passed away a year ago. I miss him so much!!! I am very scared of cemetery’s but this one for some reason I felt was very peaceful from the start…

Beautiful, affordable plots. My father’s remains are buried alongside one of the large ponds, under trees. The cemetery is non-denominational, but some of the marker stones have religious symbols or Arabic, Armenian, Hebrew, and Russian script. We like visiting my father’s grave in such a diverse neighborhood. Unfortunately, there is diversity in the ages of residents; too many people have died young. Cemeteries are for burying or holding the remains of the dead, but Newton Cemetery also is for family and friends. Every time I visit I am so grateful for the views, the specimen trees, the historic architectural monuments, and my father’s little neighborhood alongside a pond.

Joanne Ausiello was so thoughtful and caring about our loss and did everything to make a very painful and sad experience easier on our family.
