Worst customer service. Came there with my wife, and got a lecture how my mass id is «not up to par». We’re both clearly over 21. Just run the id in a scanner, you amateur.

this place is so out of place. this is your local, seriously reasonably cheep beer/​wine place. nothing special about this place. environment is pretty poor, but seriously who cares… they sell beer. service was average to mid average. Beer selection is limited, like you’d find in a gas station. good alternative though to Cast Beer place.

I’m only a beer drinker so my review only refers to the beer selection– the wine and liquor selections is also good, but I can’t really speak to it.
The beer selection is certainly not the largest in town, but they have a good range of quality domestic and import (including a nice range of Belgian ales). The staff is quite knowledgeable and always very friendly and helpful.
They do beer tastings on Fridays, which is a great way to sample new things (Same goes for wine on Sat.)

i love murray’s! they feature a beer tasting every friday, and a wine tasting every saturday. the staff is friendly, informative, and i love how i’ve become a regular. now that they know the profile of wine that i like and style of beers that my fiancé likes, they make great recommendations for us.

Great selection, good prices, and the staff is willing to assemble an order for you and deliver it. I requested a dozen bottles for X dollars, and they put together a wonderful mix.
This may not be everyone’s way to purchase wine, but for a time-​pressed person who just likes a decent glass with dinner, it works great.

Murray’s is overhauling their beer offerings. They’ve always been solid, but now expect even more and better options in craft, micro, and European (especially Belgian). They do beer tastings on Fridays and wine on Saturdays. Wine selection is also a good mix of value and mid-​high end with bottles from most varietals and regions.
Prices are competitive for the area, staff super knowledgable and welcoming. It helps, too, that they are just off from the Newton Center T stop. Who says you can’t find good drink even without a car?

A couple of weeks ago we parked in front of Murray’s before heading to dinner. A sandwich board outside announced a tasting of Australian wines, so we decided to head in. Right away we spotted some interesting bottles, so we grabbed a couple to buy on the way out. Then we headed to the tasting table, and we were the only customers in the store. The person at the tasting table proceeded with his conversation with a co-​worker about an unrelated matter (something about biking or camping) and failed to make eye contact with us or acknowledge our presence. After about a minute he glanced our way but continued with the conversation, ignoring us completely. We put the bottles of wine back and left the store.
We’re in our 40s and were nicely dressed for dinner, so I’m sure we didn’t appear underage or like a couple of vagrants. Totally unacceptable customer «service.»

I love this place! They have a very thoughtful selection of wines that always seems to be one step ahead of the trends. There is almost always some great new deal at Murray’s that shows up in Wine Spectator the following month. For both casual and serious wine lovers this is a place to watch!

This place has a very nice selection of high-​quality wines, but the staff is what sets it apart. If you tell them the most simple thing you want (dry, fruity, heavy, cheap!) they always find the right wine for my needs. Mark & Rich know a lot about wines, and are always willing to help me pick the right thing. Surprisingly, their single-​malt collection is pretty good, too.

Murray’s has a great wine selection and a knowledgeable staff. As a person with limited wine experience, I feel comfortable going to Murray’s explaining what I want and always getting the exact right wine!
