I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl. I love this place and their southern cooking. Hamburger steak is always my go to.

Great little place with lots of small town charm. We absolutely love finding a good local place but finding one with outstanding service and food is rare. I had the large barbecue with slaw and ordered fries on the side. My wife had the hamburger steak with onions with sides of slaw and potato salad. She would have order their fried chicken but they fry it fresh and we were told it would take 20 minutes. We didn’t want to wait that long. The barbecue is great, slaw was really good and the potato salad was very good. Deb’s hamburger. Steak was cooked perfectly and very nicely seasoned. Tina and Tabitha were double teaming us and they were wonderful. In looking at what other people had on their plates everyone seemed very happy plus there was a steady stream of locals coming in for takeout. We will be back. Next time we will call ahead for fried chicken. Why not stop in and get a feel for a «Mayberry «experience!

Saw their signs on the interstate, stopped at Smithfields and then pulled this place up on Unilocal.Decided to take the risk. When we pulled up, I thought we had made a mistake but it turns out the bbq plate was better than Smithfields by far. Nothing fancy and the bathroom was well neglected but if you want a good bbq plate, friendly service I would recommend stopping by.

Delicious eastern style bbq. Cheap, quick and friendly. Everything that’s good about small town bbq.

Worst barbecue in Wayne County. Seafood can be good if they would put enough on the buffet. If you like shrimp you will make several trips to a empty pan.

Great food, low prices, nice people. Every Thursday they have great spaghetti on the buffet. The banana pudding, hush puppies, okra, they have it all. They also have takeout. You must stop here if you are nearby.

Very well could be the best bbq ive ever had! Wifey had the chicken and says «its the kind of fried chicken she wishes she could make at home.» The stewed potatoes are freakin awesome!!!

I’m not a huge fan of BBQ, but didn’t want fast food either. So I came for the chicken and stayed for the wonderful desserts! Home made original recipes! Loved it!

As a fellow Eddie, I am proud to share my name with such a delicious place. They have a great selection of BBQ, tasty and refillable sweet tea, and has a lot of food for a good price! Highly recommended!

If I the choice of my last meal, the fried chicken, bbq, green beans, and sweet potatoes from this place would be on that short list. Go out of your way to check this place out. It’s amazing!

Excellent! Stopped on our way to the beach. BBQ plate is very good. A hole in the wall that was well worth the stop. Kid friendly.

This place is fantastic. The prices are great and the food is delicious! Very friendly service. They will bring you a pitcher of sweet tea to the table for refills. The fried oysters are a bit salty but very tasty. Sweet potato fries are a must try.

Eddie’s has the best fried chicken around… we travel from DC to Burgaw, NC frequently, and always stop for fried chicken plus a side of livers and gizzards to bring to the family gatherings… always a hit!
