Allstate Insurance: Carlos Cubia

I’ve opened my policy with Allstate insurance about couple years ago in the nice neighborhood that was at the time closest to be to my home with very helpful and polite gentlemen Chandler Pellock. The whole experience was a breeze. I’ve had all of my questions answered in the professional and kind manner and set up process for my new car took about 20 min. Or it seemed like to me. This was first and last time I’ve visit Chandler’s office, my policy was set up, I had all of my paperwork in my possession and they’ve arranged automatic withdraw for my monthly payments. So, I was happy. In about 1 year and 8 months since I set up my policy, I’ve received a letter notifying that my agency under new management and from now own I’ll be taking care of by new agent Carlos Cubia… And this is when my nightmare begins. First I’ve noticed that my monthly bill increased by $ 8 and I raised a concern and made a phone call to Carlos. At a time he wasn’t available and I left a message. Waiting for about a week with no answer back, I tried again. Left message, no response back. Call again in couple days, Carlos Cubia answered the phone. I asked Carlos about the extra charge and he responded that it was for regular mailing services, that I’ve had supposedly set up as a request, he wasn’t sure when (Note, never had received one letter I was charged for from Carlos). He need it some time to find out when and with whom it was activated and asked to call back. After some time Carlos did call back and not going to much in to details of mailing service, just simply announced that I’m set up for one and start asking me a completely out of the topic ridiculous question about the ownership of my house and how I can safe on house coverage, or something like that. I tried to explain Carlos that I was living with my parents and had no rights to talk about their house coverage choices. Carlos insisted talking to me about same subject until he was finally finished with showing up his sales skills. I went back to the conversation with Carlos over $ 8 charge and asked him to cancel. He assured me that he would and that I would only have automatic withdrawal every months from my checking account. After that awkward conversation, I left the subject alone and was for some reason convinced that Carlos will take care of the problem and carried on with my busy life. In about couple of months I’ve looked at my checking account and notice that for two months my car insurance payments wasn’t taking out of my checking account and bill wasn’t payed for two months. I picked up my cell phone and start dialing Carlos immediately. I got Harrison on the phone. Right away after telling him my name and before explaining the reason of my call, Herrison start talking away how they were just about to call me and tell me that I need to update my address. Update my address!!! Where I was living for 14 years!!! Without any further frustration and a waste of my time, I simply hung up the phone. I’ve no longer wanted to deal with anyone in this office. I went on Google and start looking for new agency that can help me to resolve my problem. Luckily for me, I was able to find new agency just newly opened right in my neighborhood, West –Roxbury branch. I called in and Barbara answered the phone. Barbara had announced to me that my insurance policy is going in to cancelation on June 12. Let me tell you, my anger was at the boiling point. Long story short. I’m sorry, the story end up being long but the first review was taking out by Unilocal b/​c of «not enough information and please review your actual experience with a business». Barbara fixed everything for me. My card was still in the system and she was able to refresh and activate my original account for automatic withdrawal back in running. And so that was my experience with Carlos and his team. I want to believe that it wasn’t intentional and was just a mistake, but for some reason it’s hard for me to wrap my head around it. I figured, I should’ve at least gotten my cancelation letter for mailing services I was paying
