My husband and I recently had dinner here. It was fantastic! Everything from our waitress to the warm complimentary cookies with our coffee. We had tried take out a few times prior to actually eating in and we weren’t really impressed. I am happy we went in for dinner because it was well worth it and we will definitely be back. Portions were plentiful, flavors excellent and my seafood was perfectly cooked. My husband had classic chicken parmigiano and it was good too.

Well, I had to update my review. I have been here about three times since I wrote my last review and each time I had to send my meal back. The first time it was a veal dish that was obviously sitting out too long and was dried out, because it was hard and tough. They did replace it with a fresh one which was amazing but I had to eat well after my wife finished her meal. I was here Friday night, it was busy but not packed. Service was very slow, ans again, had to send my meal back. It was supposed to be shrimp scampi over linguini but it was in a dark brownish sauce, and the pasta was heavy, very tasteless. I swear the suave was the same as their clam sauce except no clams in it. They told me they made the sauce thick because otherwise it is tasteless but I had fantastic shrimp scampi over linguini and they just missed the mark. I think we are done with this place. The time before we were waiting at the bar for a seat in the bar they promised us and when the table opened up they decided to give it to a party of 4 and then told us some bullshit story that they forgot we sat at that waiting for it… for like 30 – 40 minutes because we had time… Just to end up eating in the dining room when we wanted a more intimate atmosphere. It just seems they don’t care anymore. they are just churning out food and not really caring about customer issues. Dropping 130.00 bucks for a less than par meal just sucks. When you have to send stuff back and then if it’s replaced your eating alone as everyone else ate, just sucks, just do it right he first time. And don’t make up kemp excuses for churning out a bad meal, or giving someone something that just sat out for hrs and was re heated. I am just annoyed because I used to like this place and it was close and now I can’t…

Definitely a solid 4 stars. Consistently good food on the regular menu with some really fabulous specials. The chef does a very nice job on the specials and that is usually where I will order from. From basic, good Italian dishes to some amazing creations, you will not be disappointed with the quality of both the food and the service. They have been here for years and know what they are doing. Worth the trip which will bring you back for more.

Great atmosphere, staff was very nice. The food sadly was not good. The casa mignon steak was really gross and the portion size left you hungry not to mention the price had me questioning if I broke a window or something.

Dined here for the 2nd time last weekend. We had a group of 11 and had a great time. The service was great and the food was excellent! I had the scallops risotto and really thought the dish was outstanding! A nice bottle of wine and calamari appetizer started us off nicely! The only negative was that the staff tried to pick up a table and carry it over some patrons. A bottle spilled all over the woman next to us. A little crazy they would do that. Give this place a try!

Will never go on a holiday again. 7:30 reservation was a joke. Didn’t get seated until after eight. Too many people and not enough servers which caused no tables to be available. Appetizers and meals came out one at a time. Food was good but holiday menu was too limited.

I have dined at Casa Bellissima multiple times over the years and have been pretty satisfied most of the time. The hostess Dina is lovely and always treats us like family which is hard to find nowadays. The quality of food is good and the presentation is nice. I actually like this establishment over the much bally hooed Mohawk House down the road. We usually get Allie as our server and she is an efficient and sweet person. They have good sangria, albeit pricy for a pitcher. The drinks are well made and they have some interesting concoctions. I think you will enjoy dining here if you are in the mood for Italian cuisine.

Christmas Eve disaster. I have been there multiple times and the personal treatment I have received from Deena, the owners wife has always been positive. Unfortunately, I had a bad run in there on Christmas Eve. My husband decided to get the 7 fishes and started with a clam/oyster/shrimp appetizer. I had a clam, and discovered it tasted awful. I was with other people so I swallowed it whole and didn’t mention it to Deena or the staff because of my frequent visits there. Christmas late night after going to bed my husband woke up violently vomiting, followed by me doing the same. I spent the next 36 hours so sick my family wanted to take me to the ER. Making things worse, my family was visiting from AZ and I was unable to leave my bed for near 2 days of their visit. I did confront Deena about my experience, as that night I spent $ 300 feeding our group only to be sick during a holiday where I had family visiting. Deena told me to come back and she would take care of us. It took us over a year to come back after that experience, but we did. Deena hugged and apologized again and said she would take care of us. At the end of the meal, we received a check for $ 80.00 and she said we took care of your appetizer and dessert. All I could think about was how I paid $ 300.00 to get violently ill, and this is how they repay me. At first I was going to confront her, but I felt so hurt that she cared so little that I just walked out crying and have never gone back. Deena, if you are reading this, shame on YOU for handling our situation so poorly. I have never been that sick in my lifetime.

Absolutely LOVE this place! Great authentic Italian food. I’ve never been disappointed and their chicken parm and filet mignon is to die for!

I’m rating this 2 stars now. Two years ago, I rated this 5 stars. The service was good. The quality is less than two years ago and, the prices have increased by 50%. This is not an exageration! The chicken dishes went from $ 14 to $ 21and the veal from $ 16 to $ 24! The bread went from homemade, crispy shelled warm inside to Wonder bread with a crust, awful! We all know the cost of living went up but not 50% and don’t make me feel like I’m being ripped off.

I’ll actually say 3.5 stars. The breads and bruschetta they give(as the wait is long) are sooo yummy. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer and it was really good. I ordered a special with shrimp, lobster and scallops in a garlic butter sauce. The lobster was overcooked. None of the seafood was seasoned. The pasta was cooked perfectly. Overall, I’m sad to say I’ve had better at Carraba’s. I like supporting«authentic» Italian restaurants but the food and service was lackluster.

Very good food for the area. Certainly not the best Italian we’ve ever had, but better than most. The building is beautiful. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. We’ll be back.

Definitely one of the best places to eat in Sussex County. This is our family’s go-to spot when we want to go somewhere a little nicer. It definitely does get busy, so be prepared to wait for a table during the dinner rush. We usually go around 5 or 6 to beat the crowd. The food is awesome, and the service is great. Amongst our family, we’ve tried many of the items on the menu, as well as the specials, and everything has been delicious! One of the biggest problems with restaurants in this area is consistency, but Casa Bellisima always delivers with consistent, quality food. One of my favorites is their bolognese. So simple but so good, and there’s always plenty of leftovers to take home! Even their bread and bruschetta is amazing. If you’ve looking for a more upscale yet reasonable place in Sussex County, you should definitely consider Casa Bellisima.

Went here for lunch with a group of about 50 people. We had a huge room to ourselves and it worked nicely. The service was pretty good. The atmosphere was nice and elegant with a «fireplace» in the background. They did a good job with our group. The food was okay but nothing special. I ordered a fish special and it was just okay. The others I was with enjoyed their food a lot.

4 stars because my experience did not blow me away, most likely due to the fact that the food was being mass-produced when I was here. I was here for a group dinner with about 50 other people, plus a bunch of others from Selective. The staff was extremely attentive and made sure everyone’s glass was full at all times. We were in a beautiful room but it was just a little tight for our group. Appetizers were really good and, as usual, I went overboard on them. Our dinners were not as fantastic as other reviewers have claimed on here, but I’m sure it was just because the chef had to make so many at one time. It was obvious that if that had not been the case, the food would have been much better. Then again, I can’t remember what I had, so I guess that says something too. I’m not huge on Italian so I don’t know if I’d voluntarily come back here, but it is a nice option in this area.

Sadly I have to downgrade Casa B to two stars for very poor service. After many years of good meals, and good catering and good events there, we had a very poor experience at an event. With a crowd of 20+ people for a communion we arrived to find out our tables weren’t ready and had to wait 45 minutes to be seated. Instead of providing drinks or something to eat we were squished in the bar area trying to get the bar tenders attention.(Once he heard we were part of a party he seemed to lose interest.) To boot, we had older people who needed to eat and who we had to lift up to get them on the high bar stools so they could sit down and eat cocktail nuts. When we were finally seated, we basically had one server for 20+ people. Took forever to get drinks, various courses came out piecemeal, with folks waiting for the rest of the plates while their dishes got cold. Waitress also seemed to disappear for long periods. I was chasing people for water and even for cake for the communion girl. Just crazy. What could they have done better other than having the tables ready on time and staffing the place with an appropriate amount of people? Maybe comped something. Put some bread on the bar when they saw people wolfing down nuts. Hell, they could have at least given us the impression they cared. Oh and the bathrooms were dirty — when you have a bunch of kids in for events all day long someone needs to make sure there isn’t pee all over the floor once in a while. Having said that. there were three other parties there that did seem to e getting the appropriate service. .. .. maybe we just aren’t(now weren’t) good enough customers. Bottom line: Time to find someplace else. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — Previous 4 star review: Long time customer. Excellent food at good prices. One of the few places in Sussex County still worth going to. Use their catering as well. Always fresh and good bang for the buck.
